Ya, true I guess. I wonder if they would add a story about a powerful ring that must be destroyed into the movie though. And instead of just flying a huge eagle to the place to destroy it, they walk the entire way and it takes them forever and they run into lots of trouble. Wouldn't that be an awesome plot?CraigMooGa wrote...
it'd probably be ace, but lets wait and see how good the whole story is first

Dragon Age has a potential to become a well selling franchise, with a good and though-out world. But you know why Peter Jackson was so succesful with his LotR movies? The setting was insanely popular and such kind of popularity takes years to build up.

It doubt it would be the same scenario as we see in a game. I rarely is the case. Movies based on games just take place in the setting, because what would be the fun on watching a fim and knowing what wil happen?CraigMooGa wrote...
Making an RPG game into a film is really hard too, cause the main character in the game can be played in a hundred different ways, which for me, is one of the main pulls of the game, while the character in a film could only take one path.

Watching the Sacred Ashes trailer ... I would settle for an animated movie of that quality.
but the quality wasnt that great though, lip-syncings were off and characters had no nails. the rest was awsomely good though.

Yes I have. Resident Evil: Degeneration. Animated great quality (story is a lil odd but its RE it was always odd) I think if they can do a full length movie with the level of Sacred Ashes... we would be in for a treat.Asheris wrote...
I think the topic goes waaay ahead of things, but sure, it is a nice idea. But seriously - have you ever watched a good movie based on a game?

Taste differs, but I guess it was a good adaptation. Each Resident Evil is worse and worse than the original because it looses the atmosphere. So I guess the film cought it just fine. Bland and predictable.DocSun wrote...
