A non animatied move, like Lord of the Ring's epicness, but not Lord of the Rings, Dragon Age: Origins instead.

Ya, true I guess. I wonder if they would add a story about a powerful ring that must be destroyed into the movie though. And instead of just flying a huge eagle to the place to destroy it, they walk the entire way and it takes them forever and they run into lots of trouble. Wouldn't that be an awesome plot?

I think the topic goes waaay ahead of things, but sure, it is a nice idea. But seriously - have you ever watched a good movie based on a game?

Dragon Age has a potential to become a well selling franchise, with a good and though-out world. But you know why Peter Jackson was so succesful with his LotR movies? The setting was insanely popular and such kind of popularity takes years to build up.

Watching the Sacred Ashes trailer ... I would settle for an animated movie of that quality.

Making an RPG game into a film is really hard too, cause the main character in the game can be played in a hundred different ways, which for me, is one of the main pulls of the game, while the character in a film could only take one path.

It doubt it would be the same scenario as we see in a game. I rarely is the case. Movies based on games just take place in the setting, because what would be the fun on watching a fim and knowing what wil happen? ^_^

I think Uwe Boll is currently working on BloodRayne 3 so we might have to wait a little bit before we hear any talks about a Dragon Age movie...

Yes I have. Resident Evil: Degeneration. Animated great quality (story is a lil odd but its RE it was always odd) I think if they can do a full length movie with the level of Sacred Ashes... we would be in for a treat.

Too much of the goodies is a bad thing. Making a CG animation DA movie would be a bad idea just look at these FF-movies they suck!

Taste differs, but I guess it was a good adaptation. Each Resident Evil is worse and worse than the original because it looses the atmosphere. So I guess the film cought it just fine. Bland and predictable.

Well Bioware definitely has a lot of plans for Dragon Age, so a full length movie or animated movie is a realistic possibility. If they are going to do something quickly on a modest budget, I would hope it is a Sacred Ashes quality animated film or series.

Uwe Boll is simply destroying any movie he get's his hands on... any game turned into a movie by him has been crap... Far Cry was the closest one to actually be a movie, and that says alot.

Sure, but only if it's as good as 'In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale'.

*shudder*

I would enjoy it for one. Be it CG animation such as the resident evil animation movie or a real movie with real characters. I think the work that Bioware has put on both Mass effect and Dragon Age worlds is enough to give a movie some credibility when it comes to believable background story and overall feel of a setting.

It took a company like Blizzard a long time to finally get a movie started. I think it generally is a good idea but it also should not be rushed.

I haven't seen many (any?) good movies translated from games. (pnp or computer) Anyone remember D&D the Movie? (omg) Or Doom? lol - terrible. I'm sure there are some but I can't think of them.
