I got Wade to craft me Vigilance... and it looks identical to Starfang. Is this a bug/mod issue, or is it really supposed to look like that? Kinda disappointed.

It probably is supposed to look like that.

Nope, its not supposed to look like that. I had the same problem. Try turning off wardens keep, and any of your other mods that you do not need in awakening, that should fix it.

Not quite, Vigilance (the one-handed version, anyway) was intended to appear as this:

Maybe they're going to make a patch?

Wow, I had no idea that it looked like that! It also looked like Starfang for me.
I hope it does get patched / fixed. I suppose in the meantime I'll turn off WK and see how the 2h version looks for my Orlesian Warden.

easy way to fix it on 360, just make sure your not connected to XBL and then it doesnt register wardens keep, *puff of magical smoke* and there your go, vigilance how it was meant to be

If I weren't into making movies of DA I would never have found out about it! Bioware sometimes is so... EA...
Dragon Age - Awakening - I want MOAR!
And that's the reason why all DLC import into Awakening BUT Warden's Keep, isn't it? I mean, the fact that WK fraks up Awakening.
EDIT:
Disabling a DLC is not the first thought I would have had since that Starfang model sword is a Bioware design and not some "user mod". And if someone hadn't told me about it on YouTube I'd prolly never find out about it. Yeah, punish me for being a C.E. owner!
Dragon Age - Major Awakening Incompatibility Bug
So why nobody warned me about that? I have to find out after I finished the Expansion? BioWare should warn about it both in the forum, email their registered CE and DLC owners and also inform in the Expansion information that having Warden's Keep DLC and leaving it Enabled will mess up with at least this feature:
The Best Sword of the game looking like a generic Starfang! - wonder if there are other similar issues with that DLC which is the only one that doesn't let items to carry over to the Expansion or even some issues with the other DLC's that we haven't heard about yet!
Dragon Age - Awakening - I want MOAR!

Sorry but the patch is considered too big for 360 so they won't do it.

Hey, does anyone know if Vigilance will be in Dragon Age 2, and if it matters whether it was a longsword or greatsword?
