can anyone tell me whether or not you can get by the salarian who is upstairs from the hotel bar on noveria, and access the hotel. Apparantly only corporate members are allowed access. Is there anyway of getting a corporate pass in order to gain entry? I suspect not, but need to know.

Nope. VIPs only I'm afraid. No Spectres allowed. I was curious about the very same thing and looked everywhere for the answer. After finding no mention of this anywhere I came to the conclusion that it just isn't possible.
Maybe someone with ME1 on PC can do some cheating and tell us if there is actually anything inside to look at. Maybe it's just a fascade.

If you're on the PC version, use the Ghost (no clipping) cheat and walk through the door. There's nothing at all behind it.

I dont want to cheat my way in. I just wanted to confirm that I was not missing anything. The way the salarian speaks of a corporate pass, I was unsure if such a thing existed.

why would they even have the salarian there if you couldn't go in. Why wouldn't they just make it not possible to go in like they do for all other rooms...it's possible that they originally planned to have something there but due to budget cuts or time restraints they weren't able to.

I wondered about this, too. However I assume it's just done for atmosphere/background. They do have guards around the offices of Noveria but why they're not standing in front of non opening doors is unknown. A minor thing to me.

agreed, it is a minor issue. its just that i tend to be a bit of a completionist at times. the thought of 'missing' an entire section bugged me. I do think it was somewhat misleading though, because of the salarian.
