First things

If I were the mean and nasty fella everyone thinks,
Chris, you're actually in here talking with us about this.
You're a saint.
It's not you that we're engraged at, it's whatever element of the dev team of your company decided that preventing us from being screwed over was not worth the 2 minutes to do something so incredibly simple that would alleviate our problem - IE, at the very least, choice for leader, or even apologize for this situation and say that they will patch it in "at some point in the future".
We're mad not just at the situation, but at the blatant contempt.
You are actually here talking to us.
You are not a source of contempt.
Thank you for actually posting.

I did not mean to imply that any
percent of players being unhappy was fine with me, I meant that you
could play it. You may personally choose to have probblems with the
story set or importing a dead character or whatever, and I am not
dismissing your concern, I am saying that you CAN play it. There are
people who do cannot as it is not released yet where they live. There
are people who cannot for whatever techinical issue that may have.
But still, let's say that there's an entire sequence where for some people, the sky turns neon orange for a while. Let's even say it's a small percentage, 8%, 10%. Heck maybe even 5%.
The game is still PLAYABLE, no? But obviously, it's a problem.
This is a heck of a lot more of a problem then that - because it determines *whether or not the game "fits with our story"*.
We bought into your franchise in the first place based on promises of persistent worlds, and actually fufilling such a promise and fixing this problem is so, SO simple. But still, here we are, with all signs pointing to Bioware just not giving a damn about us.
"If you don't care, we don't."Well, we do care. So I assume that means you do as well, right.
Oh, so the first part of that sentence was just a cloak. It really should have just read
"We don't care".
The problem is that that thing you don't care about is
EVERYTHING that we bought into your product about. All those panels about the promises of persistent worlds.
THAT'S what you sold to us more than any one product,
the promise of persistent worlds.
Again, if you want whoever to be king or queen, who lived
or died, etc you can choose to import a save and continue that story.
And again, for a lot of us, you
CAN'T continue that story. You have to see that continuing that story was actually made impossible.
