So what, Anora is not the ruler in Awakening? I haven't started playing yet, so I have no idea. If so, then too bad. She's freaking awesome! Oh well, I'll get over it.

No thats not it..he's referencing another conversation further up in the thread.   The ruler is whoever you put on the throne..in your play-through....the only time your decision (from what I know anyways) isn't reflected is if you died saving Fereldan from the Blight.

Ok, thanks for clearing that up for me. I've tried to follow this thread, but I obviously missed something.

So, why wouldn't a quick conversation that the Orlesian has at the start of his game, in which various triggers get set (such as Alistair on the throne, Anora on the throne, Loghain still around, US ending or DR ending) work, Mr Gaider? I don't see that being too hard. Just take inspiration from KoTOR 2.

Honestly, compared to what we "got", I would have been fine with a little check-box during the character creation screen.

I guess the reason why they can't fix it now after the fact is that the interaction between Orlesian player and Anora would require unique dialogue compared to the dialogue between Old Warden player and Anora?

Honestly, I would be 1000 times happier even if there just was no sound during whatever scene(s). At least then I could actually continue my game/story.

I like the idea... but I personally felt it was done better in ME2. I'll never quite forget how bizarre that conversation was with Atton where he ended up mentioning that he wanted to believe Revan was a woman.

All I know is Alastair died in mine and I saved the mage tower. Now I find out Alastair, who dumped me I might add, is alive and well AND the mage tower got culled. The hell is up with that? Also, didn't Zehvran say he was going to stay by my side? Where'd he go?

First I want to make it clear I'm not hating on the devs but I wonder why they even bother posting on these forums, What I mean is they give us no answers but just reiterate what we already know. If they explained why it would be so difficult to use the US ending with the new warden or if it is something they are planning on fixing or not then at least we would know instead of keeping us guessing.



I just makes me wonder if some suit higher up asked them to come on these forums,to see what we're complaining about and try to shut us up without actually giving any new information.

honestly you people are making a huge deal over nothing. Its the Orlesian Wardens backstory. If you don't like it play as your imported guy. If you want to play as the Orlesian warden, suck it up. Stop ****ing about every little thing that annoys you. Its a game, no game can meet the specifications of every person. seriously, I don't see how this is angering people, its so stupid.

The thing that I hate is : why my choices won't being carried on over if my warden is dead and just let me make a new character from Orlais (including my choices from DAO). Was it that hard because of the dialogs cause they had to pay more voice actors ??

So this just SUCK!
Then why letting us the choice in DAO to live or die if it's pointless!

I wonder why some of this people are complaining if they don't even have - or at least didn't register - their original Dragon Age: Origins/ Awakening game. Serious, it's hard to agree and discuss with people that may be playing pirate games and still complain to Bioware. [this is pure gayness]

If you have an original game and just didn't register, I am sorry.

But your opinions will be much more valid once you have the shield icon below your avatar.

the thing is they probably make the choice that is inconcevable make alistair king with anora the queen we dont no for sure.. if this is the case that make sence cause both alistair & anora have the power over ruling.. & alistair is the one greating us in the second part so it cant be change sure they could have made anora greating us but in the first time they already make the movie think about it alistair as to be the king, anora is a little bit no sence to me 1- she tried to make u kill in the game remember the emprisonement, that wy most of the people dont shoose anora

I agree. If someone can't play the game due to crashes, or their character won't import, then fair enough, they have grounds for complaint.

But all this business about how the utlimate sacrifice 'means nothing' because there wasn't some spiel about what they did in the original game.... Is this really something worth getting riled over? What's next? Are we going to start complaining because the box is red and white rather than powder blue?

the only thing that bug me is the fact that i cant have my dragon armor the rest is like i dont care



but ther is an dragon facimily armor in the game its black its not bad but this is not the dragon armor, & the thing that bother me i dont get the thing about making the rune for the equipment it missing stuff too make them ,, & we cant buy them , another small thing playing as a new caracter you missing alot of money to make anything viable ecept if your a wizard wy easy wizard are the most powerfull in this game , especialy if you create a batle mage +mistic warior + vital mage that combination is letal make with an armor & sword & shield & you wont dy

i got caray my wizard form the first game & it was invicible as soon as i implant the batle mage over it , yes its missing stuff & yes is not the expension i woud have think but darn ist fun too play with a wizard, im playing a thief now that i did caried over & i will say too you the one i like best

Because my fiance and I both play the game, and it was registered on her account. It only gets registered on one X-Box account, but it works for everyone who plays on that X-Box.

Just because you don't have an icon doesn't mean you didn't register your game.

Just to clarify - it's not that "there isn't some spiel". It's that for a particular group of people, the game directly contradicts your story.

It's like if the game gave you a choice to either kill or save Leliana, and then, after you made your choice and got a whole cutscene where you rescue her, regardless of what you chose, someone comes up to you and says "Well, now that you killed that idiot, we can get on with everything", and Leliana is dead.

If it was just "there was no spiel", that'd be fine. However, it then takes an Alistair who was dead or "never seen again", and makes him king.

They had a huge F-UP in how to actually implement the game, and it's not like there's exclusive DLC for new copies or anything.

I say just wait and buy it used, or just don't buy it and hope your game (if your a dead warden) successfully imports into DA 2 if you just don't pick up the expansion.

I doubt the Dead Warden will import into DA2 without a plot change. You can be certain Morrigan will have been impregnated by either the Warden or Ali/Log. They wouldn't have made this choice for Awakening otherwise.
