hehehe... you're persistent. >.< I'd have considered mentioning it, except I never played Robo Pit and you've been hyping it up.

Watch a  RoboPit Video , you won't regret it

Fight fight Get him Seagloom

Naw. I hate debating. I suck at it, for one. I tend to get carried away and emotionally invested. In the past it's caused me more trouble than its worth. I can already feel myself slipping here. Even if I wasn't drowsy, I'd stop at this point. It's discourteous to the OP and will almost certainly end with me looking like a fool, even if I did prove my point. I'll pass.

It's one thing to share ideas but when it starts to get into a contest of who's right and who's wrong, that's where I step out.

It's really very objective, anyway. I know that Hideo has said that everything you see needs to be taken with a grain (block) of salt, and that it would be best if you didn't get to emotionally invested (or something like that...Posted Image). In the end, all that matters is how you yourself view the story/characters. If you decide that it is very serious, than it is very serious. If you decide that it has all the relevance of globbitygahoobitysnoof...well, you get the idea. Posted Image

No, I'm totally letting this go, too. Seagloom did the mature thing by deciding the end this...this could quickly get out of hand. I'm being serious when I say that you really just got a few awesome points in my book. Not many people are Seagloomy enough to say "Hey, man...Let's just put this aside. It's pointless and stupid."

Let's have a Seagloom party! Posted Image

*...Still likes ALL of the MGS games*

Yes, you established that awhile ago. In my opinion MGS was on a steady downhill slide with each successive game being worse than the last. I can accept MGS2&3 were decent games with a few flawed elements and plot choices. MGS4 was ridiculous though, and I don't know anyone in my circle of friends at least that feels differently. My best friend in particular is a huge fan of the series and enjoyed the previous three games greatly, but thought MG4 was almost complete garbage.

In my opinion, the plot was convoluted and ridiculous to the point that I'd have trouble taking it seriously as anime, let alone a game plot I'm supposed to find believable. At least I think Kojima wanted me to take it seriously, because the dialogue and characterization is so heavy handed and melodramatic. Some of the antagonists were so over-the-top they were camp for anyone that's read their fair share of manga. Then there's the gameplay, which is at its core nothing particularly new or exciting. Hideo Kojima needs to reinvent the wheel to catch my interest at this point. Kind of like how Capcom reinvented Resident Evil's gameplay with RE4.

Also, Crazy Taxi rocked... but that was Dreamcast, not Saturn.

While I will agree with you that MGS4's plot was a mess I do have to say that Kojima does know what he is doing. While he does make some questionable plot choices he does know how to suck the player in and make them feel like the character they are playing.

Lets take MGS2 for example, specifically the scene where Raiden wakes up upon Arsenal Gear stark naked and confused as hell, once he gets free he starts getting these wierd codec calls from the Colonel where he is told things like he has failed the mission and that he should turn off the console, he also give Raiden some gardening tips that are unrelated to the game in any way and he also spouts my favorite line "I hear its amazing when the purple stuffed worm from flap jaw space with the tuning fork does a raw blink on hari kari rock, I NEED SCISSORS, 61". When I first played the game I had no idea what the hell was going on and felt just as confused as what I assumed poor Raiden would be feeling at that moment.

Also you may disagree with me here but personally I think that the plot and setting of MGS3 were brilliant, sure it may have had some over the top characters and some weird plot choices (Why the hell was Colonel Volgin feeling up Snakes junk?) but other than that I felt that the rest of the characters were well developed and interesting and the story was well told, in fact I am going to say that it has to be one of the better plots I have seen in a videogame. Also being a huge Rambo and old school action films fan Snake Eater scored bonus points from me because of the Rambo influenced theme and the elements borrowed from many old school action films. Even though MGS4 had better gameplay I still think that MGS3 is the better game for the reasons I mentioned above.

I know you will probably disagree with me but quite frankly I couldnt care less, while I agree that Kojima kind of dropped the ball with MGS4's plot I still think Kojima knows what he is doing and I look forward to seeing what he has done with the Castlevania series.

For someone who couldn't care less you sure went out of your way there. As I wrote before, I have no interest in debating this. ~Shrug~

You know, I just realized the OP asked for other good Saturn games too. A question to you then, OP. Which games do you already own, if any?

I don't own any, but some guy wants to sell me his Saturn + cords + 1 controller + 1 game (Defcon 6) for $40.

That isn't a bad deal. I should warn you though, the Saturn was an unpopular console and its days. Some of its better games had obscenely small print runs. You may find many of the choices on my list either hard to find or expensive. Moreso if you decide to mod the console and hunt down import titles.
