I can confirm this. No mini-map graphic appears for any of the Canyon or Bridge areas in random encounters.Launcifer wrote...
Found one during the "Canyon Road" random encounter, after setting out from the Wending Woods back to Vigil Keep. Having been into the mine yet, though.
Anyway, The map in the top-right corner of the screen showed only a grey block instead of a map, with a grey blob pacing around the outside of the square as I moved my character around the map. Has anyone had this happen during other encounters?
Edit: Discovered the same issue with the "Burning Bridge" encounter.

The see thru bug is showing up in Origins as well now. I did a new run thru the other day and at the guantlet had the odd experience of seeing eyes and gums floating in transparent people in the riddle area.
I've been getting that as well, though it seems to be rare.
Bugs I've experienced:
Broken Pickpocketing (fixed with a Mod), uncompleteable Anders quest, uncompletable Smugglers/Guards quest (killing the smugglers doesn't matter if you've talked to the innkeeper, and talking to the innkeeper doesn't matter if you've talked to the guards), and strange pathing all over the place.

Also, My husband played through the Silverite Mine before Velanna joined and now the quest is still active, though he is able to remove & add her to the party.

All original specializations are now locked in DA:Origins after loading Awakenings. This sucks. Is there a way to fix?
I've cleared the cache and restarted 12 times.
I had to;
a) Delete my gamer profile, and start fresh.
&
c) play through origins again to re-unlock the specializations.
As a side note, I returned the expansion, and will not be touching Awakenings again until this issue at the very least is fixed.

I also encountered a glitch during the seige of Amaranthine in which a very annoying skeleton refused to die and stood there motionless while my party (attempted) to beat the crap out of it.
This here too.

Saving and turning off then back on fixes it.

Have also experienced an issue of an NPC having a 'ghost' in that it seems there are 2 characters standing on top of each other / superimposed, one moving and the other not. This happened with the Private outside Vigil's keep.
I also had problems with the Smuggler's Cove / Law and Order quest, whereby I accepted the Law and Order, but before I killed the last group of smugglers, I persuaded the barman to open the cave entrance. This broke the quest and I couldn't complete either side - smugglers or law and order.
Honestly, what happened to QA testing, I thought Bioware reviewed their internal procedures for this after the RtO farce...? I mean, the new armour set not appearing correctly on a human character would seem to be a pretty large (dare I say unmissable?) bug......
It's put me off playing to be honest as I don't know what other bugs are affecting my experience, if any, which could turn up and spoil my gameplay later on (I'm only a few hours into Awakening).
As much as I love Dragon Age, the whole issue with bugs and potentially game-breaking issues has frustrated me to the point of you losing my custom, and I daresay I'm not alone in that. Respectfully suggest you remove heads from sand and supply a fix to this.

Interesting bug with Justice--right after he joins the party. Gave him Kristoff's mementos as a gift right away, and the gift shot his approval rating up by 100 points to max. Kind of makes the other gifts useless, right? Not sure if this other one is a bug, but right after defeating The First (in the fade version of Blackmarsh) when the cut scene started, The First was talking to the Baroness and he had absolutely no head. Not a see through head--no head. My guess is Oghren cut it off during combat as some sort of finishing critical, but it had a strange effect on the cut scene because the First has dialog there, and he was just running around like the headless horseman, but still talking and walking and whatnot.

Confirm that the Sentinel Armour does not display correctly on Human Male characters (uses the Warden Commander skin) - the helmet is the only part that looks as it should.

-I also have experienced the transparent ghost with freaky eyeballs and denture-looking freaky teeth. My husband saw part of a cutscene the other night and commented on how strange it was. And freaky. Did I mention freaky?

Anyway, after completing the Silverite Mine section, I went back to Vigil's Keep. When I gave Dworkin the Lyrium Sand that I'd found there, he suddenly appeared on top of/in front of his table and proceeded to punch the air like a mad, mad thing.
As I say, I don't know if this was intentional or not, so I mentioned it.

I also encountered this skeleton.
Most of these other gameplay and graphical bugs never came up for me... I must have been lucky. The ones I'm most concerned about are the problems with triggering Sigrun's and Velanna's companion quests (these seem to be fairly well-known). The approval bugs are unfortunate as well-- the only one I've gotten so far is +100 instantly for Justice right after he joined the party, when I gave him Kristoff's locket.
It seems that the codex has trouble understanding whether Vigil's Keep has actually fallen or not, as well. I played through the end of the game thinking half my party was dead and the Keep destroyed (the world map also displayed it as "destroyed by darkspawn"), only to find out in the epilogue texts that the walls held up and nobody died. Boy, codex, you sure had me there! Granted, there were some little issues like this in Origins as well, but this strikes me as a bit more serious. In Origins, at least I could confirm that Isolde was still alive, while I had no way of knowing in Awakening what had actually happened (I'm still not sure whether I should believe my codex or the epilogue).

kidcouscous, are you playing from the hard drive or a disc? I've played at least sixteen hours of Awakening without a 360 crash and I've been playing from the hard drive (both Origins and Awakening installed). If people knew, they'd be better able to reproduce the crash bug.
-I also have experienced the transparent ghost with freaky eyeballs and denture-looking freaky teeth. My husband saw part of a cutscene the other night and commented on how strange it was. And freaky. Did I mention freaky?
I have been playing from the disc. Played Origins the same way, did not have this problem with Origins. I know a crash is coming on because the music will start skipping like a scratched CD...during combat, I can normally continue for a bit, ordering commands and whatnot while it's doing this, and then eventually it will crash. Damn thing just crashed in the middle of a fight with the Baroness (and I was kicking her tail good too, unlike the first time we met
Update on the Sentinel Armor skin bug--I do not experience that bug if I equip Oghren with the sentinel armor. It skins correctly on him for some reason...maybe because he's a dwarf and its a different skin? Displays incorrectly on Justice, correctly on Oghren.

Quest that cannot be finished (ex Law & Order)
Physical effect bugs (ex. Showings transparent heads)
Item skins being replaced by items from a DLC that you are not even granted to import from. (ex. Sentinel Armor/Wades Dragonbone sword)
Mass freezing/Lag
Story Plot import not connecting with choices from the Main Game (Alistar being king even when he is not)
Personal Storage Chest Reset/Deletes Items (ex. Had stored items only to come to the Vigil and find the chest has been completely emptied/Stored items deleted)
Enemies turning into unkillable targets (Skeleton who cannot be killed)
Friendship Status Bar Glitch (Recruitable Followers granted 100% bar with no effect)
Followers being locked into the party (Valenna not being removable from Party)
Plus for me the emmersion was broken with the lack of conversation with fellow NPCs. No in depth conversation at all.
Bioware really dropped the ball with this expansion...if they dont patch the major problems I think they may lose alot of Dragon Age Fans. If not they sure wont make anymore money off future expansions...
