DA:A - yeah I'm only about an hour in but having trouble getting involved - would have liked the same level of interaction with my team that I had in Origins, not to mention the Alistair 'cameo". I'm really stating to hate that word, lol

Sorry all that happened in the other thread. Drama!
Hey, I didn't get an Alistair cameo! Unless, it happens further in the game then I've made it. I didn't make him king so I 'm guessing that is why. I did encounter two bugs in the first 30 minutes. Urgh!

Good morning
As for the other thread, I just wish they had sent a pm to anyone they thought was causing issues instead of the method they chose. Oh, well.
As for DA:A, I am having mixed feelings about it. I do know I need to try copying to my Xbox hard drive b/c it seems really laggy

Back - and sure!

As for DA:A, not got that far yet as to see how it pans out - good to see Orghen again, always liked the guy - one of the few folks in Ozammar not mirered in caste, heh.

Not having any lag problems, but I'm on the PC, so it runs off the HD as is, heh.

Wheel of Time is the awesomest, I cannot recommend it enough and the author who took over after Jordan's death is a total fanboy who doesn't want to screw things up. Don't quite feel the same about GRRM's stuff. I kinda like the characters I enjoy to remain living for longer than a book.
I will always have a soft spot in my heart for WoT since it brought my husband.

Yes, well it is a real pain w/ my mage character. It is really messing w/ her spell casting. Plus, I go to loot a corpse and it is is: Open corpse, wait, wait, loot corpse

Hehe, fair enough, fair enough. Got my female city elf archer shooting up some darkspawn, especially the mages - love that arrow of slaining

Is Wheel of Time the world HBO are doing a series off? Or is that "Of fire and ice"? Though I thought the two where
connected somehow. Not really familar with either.

I have to admit I am not really familiar with either of those either. Will have to check them out.
@Doug: My favorite game to play an archer in was The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. I had a stealth/archer character that had all kinds of nifty "you can't see me, but I can see you" spells. Most of the time enemies were dead long before they noticed me

@Doug-thanks for the bedtime snack. That cake sure has been making the rounds. lol
I like GRRM's series a lot but I wish he would write faster. Poor guy. Never read WoT.
The HBO series is GRRM's Song of Ice and Fire. Super excited about that.

Good morning
We recently dropped HBO b/c of their tendency to cancel the shows we like: Rome, Deadwood, John from Cincinnati and Carnival. We watch a few of their things through Netflix now.

GRRM will probably never finish A Song Of Ice And Fire. It's also a very dark series, more akin to DA:O.

Interesting - And yeah, I know that feeling - Terry Pratchett is having to wrap up the whole of Discworld in his last book due to his condition

I've only seen a few photos of the HBO series, but it looks damn interesting - same production quality as Rome and Band of Brothers, so it should be a good watch. It'll probably be a long delay before we get it over here, sadly.

I see no reason to think of DA:A as proof of anything for ME3. Two different teams, two different graphics engines, and DA:A isn't a sequel, it's just an expansion.
You make a good point, Sia. I guess I'm just a bit sad that, so far, it's missing all the things I really liked about DA:O and the price seems kinda steep. I knew all this coming in to it really is fine in the end. I really just need to shut up and play more. At least I get my great bear.

I like the darkness.
I've recently been attempting to rectify my predjudice against male authors so I should put WoT on my to read list. It certainly comes highly recommended.

It looks like it's going to be amazing. HBO did a fab job with Rome and Band of Brothers so that gives me great hope.
I've only recently watched Band of Brothers, 2 episodes so far. I need to sit the teen down for some more soon. We have been studying WWII, so it's a great way to jump start his researching.

I am not very far into Awakening yet. So, I am trying to withhold judgement, but I am a bit bummed about how they seem to be handling Alistair in my game b/c I did not make him king. He and my warden were suppose to be off wardening together and yet there my warden is all alone

I just looked up what illness he has since I had no idea he was ill. . Man, early onset Alzheimer's. My uncle had that and it was devastating to see.
