Haha that's just my Shepard.  And actually it's the lighting... if you see her in normal lighting, her skin is fairly tanned.

P.S. I do not know way Stephen Cobert has a pot plant in his hands right now but it does not look healthy

I can tan, but I have to be very careful. Still, I only go from "disgustingly pale" to "really pale".

Argh!  Freckles, my enemy.  I'm a brunette, but hopelessly pale and my number one hatred regarding the sun (well, aside from the burning-after-five-minutes, can't tan, walking-melanoma-target thing) is that it brings out the freckles on my nose/cheeks.  Really bugs me.

I used to have a ton of freckles...I miss them. Especially Crazy K. He was my favorite...

I'm a mixed race kid, Mexican + Redneck (from Bakersfield CA lol) so I look kinda white. Tanning is not something that I can pull off, I get bored. If I'm outside doing something and I happen to get a tan, cool. But sitting around? Don't have the patience.

Really Keala? SOIAF didn't do it for you? Any reason why? I ask not to be a jerk, just because as a huge fan of the series I'm curious. So far every fellow fantasy fan I have introduced the books to have absolutely loved them. I love how it plays with your expectations of what an epic fantasy series should be like. Then again I did find these books while I was waiting for more Wheel of Time, and how different the two were was probably helpful.
