So they didn't even draft a letter from non-King Alistair? Wow. They'll include a cutscene for Grey Warden Loghain for the minority of those who kept him alive in their game, and the three characters who are most likely to be with you get either an MIA letter or nothing?

Yes ma'am. It makes no sense, really. Really, it would make sense to have Grey Warden Alistair have to go to Orlais, and write his own letter as he frantically tries to get back.

It would have been such a small bone to throw, really. Once the Zevran letter got out, there was SO much *squee* over the web. Until people started reporting it wasn't in game, of course. But it would have taken so little to make us happy! *grin*

Edit: It really does go to show how GOOD DA:O's dialogs were.  Man, so many of us really are bonded to our favorite romantic partners!

It really would have been the nice thing to do and, frankly, what I was expecting when David Gaider was doing damage control after the Awakening FAQ revealed that romances would be on hold.

I know! I love most of the Awakening companions, but reading Leliana's letter made me really disappointed that not even that meager bone could be offered.

Thanks. Why did everyone else treat it like a secret? If it's not in the game, it's not even spoiling anything. That said, these letters aren't exactly anything special, but they didn't even include that? Pfft. I'm glad I didn't buy Awakening.

That epilogue just brings us back to exact place we were with Leliana at the end of DA: O.

So really unless you are a lover/wife to KING Alistair (not even seeing him as a fellow warden which makes even LESS sense than not seeing Zev and Leli since you do get to see Loghain if he lived) then your PC was basically screwed (and not in the good way) by the events in Awakening. You get some crappy end slide that says a few words about your significant other.

Well that sucks stinky monkey toes.

Guess I won't be continuing anyone but my Cousland girl.

It could be worse.  She could enter the Chantry proper and take her vows.  And me playing a mage, well we all know how that ends.

When that stuff was posted, no one was sure if it was in the game or not - hence the spoiler titles.

It is a shame that the letter's wasn't in the main game, tho a small token, it would still be a better way of giving fans that feeling you're love intrest was thinking about you, i know i would have liked it from leliana on most of my char's.

I know that I mentally prefer a different scenario for Zevran myself, though if that letter appeared in-game somewhere, my objections would be lost to the squeals of delight.

While I never romanced Zev myself, his letter, while welcome, seems a bit out of character. The Leliana letter, however is pretty much spot on.

The logical place would be the first time you're handed letters at the keep.

If someone mods them back in, that would likely be where to put them.

This.  Drives me crazy when people say "I never romanced him but he wouldn't do 'x' with a romance partner."  

Edit: Romance him and see.  He's incredibly devoted.
