Keelah'selai is the quarian equivalent of the Jaffa word 'Kree'...

I always thought it was the Quarian version of God be with you or something.

since it is not translated by the universal translators, it may be a cross-species saying (though why would only the Quarians be using it) or it could be that the words have no actual direct translation into human language. (An example would be that when Europeans came to North America, there were several concepts/thoughts/ideas that the native peoples did not have a word for.)

The other possibility is that it could be a reference to a deity or worshiped group (the quarians may not follow it diligently, but ancestor worship is too ingrained into their society to just throw away.) A human equivalent would be along the lines of "In the name of God" or "In the name of the Ancestors." Or in the case of the word "Keelah" on its own could be "OMG - Oh my God" or "By the Ancestors" used as a form to express disbelief at a situation or a fear of impending doom.

i think Keelah is a god or great person in quarian history because you'll hear Tali say "Oh Keelah" referring to a person or god when **** its the fan

I cant find an answer online anywhere so i thought i'd come here.

seeing as how Tali says "Oh Keelah" when she...well I forget..find out her dad is dead? the ship was attacked? whatever...soem BAD news...she's says it like we'd say "oh god" so Keelah is probably akin to us saying god...

so as said...it's probably Quarian for "Godspeed"

Agreed. I'd say Keelah se'lai means "God be with you". Seeing as how Kal'Reegar says it before you head off to face the Geth Colossus and how everyone aboard the Rayya says it after Tali's trial as she will head off into the unknown and face challenges, it's a pretty fair interpretation.

According to Tali herself in Mass Effect 3, the best translation for Keelah se'lai is By the homeworld I hope to see someday.

Reading this thread.... All of them wrong..... They state in in the campaign when you land on Rannoch with Tali. I may be a tad off on this but it's like "By the Homeworld we wish to see someday".

Tali sometimes exclaims "Keelah!" when shocked, and many quarians offer the phrase "Keelah se'lai" as an apparent benediction or religious oath. This means "By the home world I hope to see one day." It is often said in the same vein as "peace be with you" and resembles the Islamic الله أكبر (transliteration: Allāhu Akbar, English: 'God is Greatest'), the Christian Deus Vult (Latin for 'God Wills It'), or the Hebrew "ברוך אתה אדוני" (transliteration: Baruch Atta Adonai, English: 'Blessed are you, Lord').
