It was very short. It came out of nowhere. And he gives us a ****ty item.

But despite that, the Loghain fanboy in me was almost dancing with joy. Loghain was actualy smiling throughout much of the convo. Ironically, he is being sent to Orlais. Why not remain and fight with us?!
Still, it was nice seeing him again, despite it being for a few seconds. I can't believe how easily pleased I am. Maybe it's the VA. Or his mystique, I don't know.
I wish my father in law would be someone like that.

What did you think?

And please let's try not to turn this into another Loghain debate.

Gets shipped off to Orlais? Oh, SNAP! I wonder who rigged that up? I suppose it is fitting penance/punishment, though.



Too bad I have to wait a week and a half to get the expansion.

He was the one companion that if you recruited him seemed destined to fight with you and the wardens. The orders from the First Warden to send him to Orlais, which you cannot overrule, makes his absence from your group plausible.

I mean why did they include him but not my LI ? And why send him to Orlais, his hatred almost cost ferelden and you send him to the place he hates wtf ?

And yea about his trip to Orlais. It was an order issued by Weishaupt (it wasn't me I assure you). They fear he might interfere with the Orlesian Wardens in Ferelden. And he admits they are right.

I sort of half expected him to mock the incompetence of the Orlesian Wardens, but he was actually sad about their deaths.

Even if he wanted to (which he doesn't), he can't do much there. He would be surrounded by enemies. I guess that's their plan.

Loghains Cameo.



I'm curious if Alistair has the same cameo if he wasn't made King, but stayed with you to rebuild the Wardens, if he was, its a pretty good bet next game will be in Orlais, Leliana is there, Morrigan is there, Loghain is there, Arl Foreshadow talked about it, the people of Ferelden keep making constant mention to the Orlesians massing at the border, the whole deal with Celeste possibly trying to get Cailan to hand over the nation, twill be an exciting game I think.

I think it rivals the sacred ashes, myself. But imagine the combined might of Duncan's beard and Loghain's corpse...

Seems someone at Weishaupt has an evil sense of humor. But it's good that Loghain at least has some decorum regarding the Orlesian Warden's deaths. Cracks in his old ways of thinking?

If nothing else, if the Orlesians get on his nerves  too much, he can spend his time there annoying the crap out of them.

This is something I'd like to know, as this was the ending I picked in most of my games. Yet I've only seen people post his cameo as king.

I agree on future games possibly being in Orlais, there's alot pointing there. However, sadly, it's unlikely Loggy will be in them, because in the epilogue, if you did the US, it states he only lives a couple more years and then the taint gets him and he goes on his Calling.

However, it seems Bioware ignored many epilogues from Origins, so maybe we might see the old bugger again.

I dont know what the heck he gives me, my item logs were so obscure. But yeah I was happy to see him, except...



Why wasn't he recruiting? I spared that guy not just so I could get in good with his daughter but also so I could set him to work repairing the damages he did at Ostagar. How is he going to do that in Orlais; that First Warden chap must have some nerve.

I imagine putting him in Orlais was an attempt by the head Warden to smooth over relations with the Queen ... the both realize the irony and she'd certainly appreciate seeing him have to work to protect her nation.



It was a little odd to see him so friendly toward my character. Sure, we actually got along alright once he joined my group - the one guy I could mouth off to and actually have his opinion of me improve - but he was a bit more complimentary than I would have expected.



Still, it was good to see him and provide a reason for why he wasn't adventuring with me. Though I think I would have still sent a letter along to the high Warden to protest and insist I needed him in Ferelden ... he is very competent and could have offered invaluable advice in militaristic matters.



I hope he makes an appearance in the next expansion or DA2 ... assuming my character play a part in those games, of course.

Oh I forgot that part lol.
He doesn't only ask when. He in fact encourages you to do it asap.
