I'll admit I totally squeed when I saw him leaning against that pillar.  *fans self*

And my range of emotions in that short conversation went something like this:








Someone in Weisshaupt definitely deserves a kick in the junk.

Oh, how this game is doing a number on my poor, poor frustrated HNF.

As far as I'm concerned, that's why my PC suddenly vanished after a few years. She had some stupid Weisshaupt orders to get rescinded...

I think i have a save on one of my spare mage's incase my main can't start cause of mods, i load the one that i know has him alive and post screenshot tomorrow or saturday if someone hasn't already by then.

Why not just save Loghain, and get to live it yourself? Much better experience IMHO. I have saves of every possible ending (1 per character... Loghain, Alistair, self-sacrifice, Morrigan) just so I could see how they all play out. Gives some replay value until 02-11-11 or whatever that date was.

I wasn't trying to point a finger at just you, but in general.  I do enjoy seeing screenshots of things as well, but unless I've done it myself it doesn't hit home in the same way when it's someone else's work.

I totally agree. I've been taking mad pictures of Anders and Nate, but I don't want to show them to my friends yet. I don't want to spoil things and I want them to exprience it as well.

I already have one. However, I do not get the game until early April.

I totally fail at avoiding spoilers, but now I MUST see this. I'm always game for more Simon Templeman VA'ing. Also the tab for this page in Chrome reads "Loghain came", ROFL.

I've yet to play a male Warden in Origins.  But now I may have to put in another 20 or so hours, just to get that heir convo.   

And I'm curious if he says the same thing to a male about leadership looking good on you.  I'm sure he probably does, but coupled with that yummy pose I could've sworn he was almost... flirting with my HNF.  Or maybe that was all in my mind.  Oh, who cares, it made me swoon nonetheless (and curse the writers for sending him away!).

Heres the conversation I had with Loghain, pulled up a save right before his talk, note that some this he says only if your a HNM and married Anora:

Loghain: Ah. There you are.

Loghain: I see Anora managed to convince you to leave the court. She has a way of getting what she wants, does she not?

Options for conversation:
1. I chose to come back
2. It certaintly seems that way.
3. What are you doing here, Loghain?

Loghain: Of course you did (I think I see sarcasm)

Loghain: I asked Anora if there were plans for an heir. The horrifed look she gave me tells me no,but you might not want to wait much longer.

Loghain: I came to pay my respects to the new Commander of the Grey before I leave Ferelden. I trust everything is going well?

Options for conversation:
1. Well enough, its good to see you.
2. You mean other than most of the Wardens dying?
3. It would go better if you lent a hand.
4. Your leaving Ferelden? Why

Loghain: And you. I wish I could join you here, but that is not to be.

Loghain: I have been commanded to join the Wardens in Montsimmard. Apparently I am not trusted to remain in Ferelden. I will interfere, I am told.

Loghain: Perhaps they are right. Still, to send me to Orlais? I thought darkspawn blood would be the last poison I'd have to swallow.

Options for conversation:
1. Orlais is the best place for you
2. I could try to intervene on your behalf
3. You came here to tell me this?

Loghain: Unnecessary. My orders come from Weisshaupt itself.

Loghain: My other reason for coming here was to bring equipment that remained in the cache at Denerim. There is also this.

Loghain: It belonged to Fereldan's Commander of the Grey before Duncan, and now it is yours. Use it well.

Options for conversation:
1. You didnt need to bring it personally
2. Thank you. I appreciate it.
3. What now for you?

Loghain: Now it is time for me to go. The Orlesian Wardens await my presence, daggers and all.

Loghain: Be good to Anora. If I hear differently, remember that Orlais is only just across the border. I can always return.

What Loghain gives you:

10 sovereigns
A Grey Warden Heraldry
Frenzy, a two-handed battleaxe Tier 8 whitesteel. You can actually get another one in the Vigil Basement if you offer up a Golden Idol to the statue down there. Theres also a corrupt Idol you can offer - perhaps this is meant as a way to get the axe regardless of your choices.

Another interesting tibit is that in the second dialogue option when you say "You mean other than most of the Wardens dying?" He will respond "Anora told me. Orlesian or not, the Wardens here did not deserve such a fate."
