I got the disc from the store, put it in my X-Box, and started the gama. I select new game and try to select import character... I cant... it says that I need the ORIGIONAL dragon age origins disk inserted. my question is, how? i have the awakening disk in there atm and if I take it out and put in the origional it will only let me play the origional PLEASE HELP (its not cause i have no characters btw I beat the game 1nce with each class)

How did you install Awakenings, through dlc or by disc?

It's on x-box I don't think installing to hard drive will do anything because when you do that you still need the disc inserted to play. If you do have to install, why didn't it say so in the manual? either way I purchased it at Gamestop and its on a disc

Install awakening (1.88gb) and then put in origins. That will do the trick.

I installed awakening to the hard drive then put in DAO and nothing changd.i dook out DAO hit play from hard drive, inserted DAO when prompted and when that loaded still NOTHING CHANGED. if you cant tell I'm getting kinda annoyed...

You could always start the new game. I mean, what do you loose? All items in this game is better and you will replace them with the best. Also you could make the same character you got before, with same facial and skill set.

The only thing you will loose is the different behaviors from the character. Thats about it.



Only thing i can come up with is to try changing the disc when you are told to do (in the game) and then change back. This should not be a problem, but i feel sorry for you to not be available to import.

changing discs would just make the game close then open as normal DAO. and i would rather have my 1st time through be as a character that I worked hard and spent time to level up as instead of as a character I just got.

Is the save game in the same storage device?

Also, when importing you can then press "Y" and then you can choose a save point you will import from.

yes to the 1st and for the 2nd I cant even move the selector to import

This should not be a problem. Just put in awakening - import from your save file - play.

:/ tried installing origins. it says it needs like 6.4GB so I delete a lot of old games (hard to choose what to remove) until im at 6.4 free space and it says I still dont have enough space

btw: just noticed that awakening was actually like a 5.4 GB install

made 6.5Gb of room and origins installed. Awakening still would not import both when I started it normally and when I ran from hard-drive with awakening disk inside

Will I basically have to return the disk and get the DLC to play this PLEASE say no, cause if yes then I have to pay $10 more AND I will have extra MS points that I wont use

I now have pictures of this which should make it simpler to understand

when I click new game it gives me this:

I cannot select the import option,I cannot even move the selector onto it.

this is proof of me having Origins and Awakening both ask disks for the 360

Click on Dragon Age: Awakening and then it will ask you to import a saved character.

amazing what pictures can do, I had thought that when it brought up that screen it was asking if I wanted to import from dragon age or if I wanted to start a new awakening character. sorry bout this. (I cant belive I'm the only one who thought this lol)
