converstions are clipped and i miss a word or 2, I have a creative sound card and it should accept it, what gives?

I have a similar problem, and i was wondering if anyone knew how to change this as well.

Try updating the drivers.

It's a well-known problem. I was having it and looked up several solutions. One option is to change the number of sound channels, another option is fuss with your drivers or something else ... and in a lot of cases there just isn't a guaranteed fix. Which is highly annoying to the point of WTFery, but keep your subtitles on and it's less an issue.



Or have a semi-major hearing problem like I do, and then you won't realize the sound issues AREN'T ACTUALLY YOU until three-quarters through the game ...
