Who is your mage? What are they like? What are their feelings about life as a grey warden and  being Ferelden's new hero?

Name: Theryn Mahariel
Race:Elf
Gender: male
Origin:  Dalish (father was Keeper)
Orientation: Heterosexual
class: Rouge
Specialization: ???
Weapon Style: Dual Wielder (axes)
Ranged Style: Long Bow (Far Song)
Occupation: Grey Warden, Hunter
Dream: Build a new home for his people

Theryn son of Gheryn Mahariel and decendent of Garahel. His father was once Keeper of his clan, and his mother Thefani was the daughter of  an older Keeper of another clan. He knows little of his parrents but, he does hold a deep seeded hate for the shemlin, and it showes in many of his actions. He cares not for the idea of being a Grey Warden except for the fact of living up to the legend of his great ancestor.

He is a skilled hunter, but he's not only a hunter of wild life and Darkspawn, but a hunter of man if the bounty is right price. He prefers axes to swords for there shear power and armor breaking ability. He is swift and dexterious which makes him a hard target for many a skilled archer, but his marksman ship is keen and precise, missing is nearly unkown to him.

He is a collector of elven artifacts and weaponry. Just like his father and those before him he seeks to preserve his ancestry and heritage in hopes to rebuild what was lost centuries ago to the shemlin, and discover a new home for his people. As a Grey Warden he has gained renoun and hopes to use his title to restore all that was lost to his people.

He the dark silent type and has a hard time communicating with humans.Though in time has grown closer to his companions. He and Morrigan she eye to eye on many issues seeing that she's an apostate. They both take turns antagonizing Alistor seeing that he's such a huge target. He respects Sten mainly because he doesn't speak much. He was Happy to have Zevran along on the trip seeing that before he was the only elf. Ogrhen is a dwarf that likes to fight and that all he thinks of him. He'd like to shizzle a big tatoo of "IT" on Shales behind but she's usefull in large hordes. He doesnt beleive in having sex with umans but he couldnt resist the foursome of him, Isbella, Leliana and Zevran, espesially after zevran coered into doing it (yes Leliana does bite). He apprciates the devotion on Leliana though he hates her on going talks of the Maker. Wynn, well he'd prefer if she'd not speak.

He hate and loves Ferelden but in time he will hate and love him too...

Motto... Why must shemlin talk so much?

You Dont have to right as much as i did but im interested in what everyone has come up with for their Grey Warden warror or rouge.

Name: Ophelia Cousland
Race:
Human
Gender: Female
Origin: Human Noble
Orientation: Bisexual
class:
Warrior
Specialization: Champion/Guardian/Berserker
Weapon Style:
Sword & Shield
Ranged Style: Crossbows
Occupation: Grey Warden, Traveler
Dream:
Lead a happy life with Leliana

Ophelia Cousland never quite was your noble girl next door. Filled with the spirit of battle since she was old enough to hold a blade, Ophelia never wanted anything more than to fight alongside her father, Teyrn Bryce Cousland and her brother, Fergus.

A free spirit, she always had to try something new and exciting. Some of her interests downright disturbed her parents. Ophelia was given hell, when her mother found a book on Blood Magic under her bed.
Ophelia often enjoyed the company of her brother and Ser Gilmore, the only two people in the castle she could talk with about anything. And of course her Mabari, Rabbit, whom she named after the toy he ripped apart when Ophelia was still young.

Many other nobles constantly scrutinized her for not being a proper lady. Ophelia could care less. Most of the noble life bored her, and she often escaped the castle to wander around Highever. This made her see how differently people of lower status and elves were treated. Her talks with beggars and elves made her realize that they're not much different from from all the so-called nobles she knew all her life. This caused her to treat everyone, no matter the race, sex, or status as equals.

Ophelia hated to even think about getting married to some Bann or Arl, preferring to find her own happiness. She also couldn't stand the sight of Rendon Howe, as the lecherous looks he gave her at times, scared her.

During the night when Howe betrayed her family, Ophelia wanted to stay behind and defend her father alongside her mother, but Duncan conscripted her and forcibly dragged her off. She never quite forgave him for that, even after his death. Her family's death hit her quite hard. She became shut off to those around her and fought like a raging, blood drunk psychopath, not caring about her own life as long as her enemy goes down.

It was not until she met Leliana, did Ophelia start to control her rage better. While initially Leliana's caring nature was unwelcome, soon the two women formed a strong bond. Leliana acted as Yin to Ophelia's Yang. It didn't take long for Ophelia to realize she felt something for the bard.
Their relationship blossomed and Leliana's love helped a great deal in healing Ophelia's heart. Ophelia gradually became happier and more interested in her new family (even if it does contain "uncle" Oghren).

Ophelia is very nice and sweet when around Leliana (She also would go to extremes to protect her) and likes to joke around with Alistair a bit too. Zevran became quite a good friend despite the fact that he tried to kill her. She even befriended Morrigan who started to consider her as a sister of sorts. Wynne is like a mother to her, but the preachy attitude drives her up the walls sometimes. While annoyed by Sten's constant disapproval, Ophelia eventually stood up to him and earnt his respect. Surprisingly, she easily befriended Oghren as disgusting as he was at times. She also adores Shale, finding her extremely fascinating and asking thousands of questions. Poor Shale is annoyed to no end.

The only person in her party she can't stand, is Dorrian Amell (look in the "Who is your mage?" thread). His constant attempts at bedding her and the fact that he used Leliana, along with his personality, drive her to the edge. Dorrian's one step away from a sword down his throat.

"I will murder, torture and maim anyone who would try to harm her. And that's on a good day." - Ophelia Cousland to Dorrian Amell concerning Leliana.

Name: Cayln Brosca (pronounced Kay-eel-n)
Race:Dwarf
Gender: Female
Origin: Dwarf Commoner
Orientation: Bisexual
class: Warrior
Specialization: Reaver
Weapon Style: Dual Wield axes
Ranged Style: Crossbow (rarely used)
Occupation: Grey Warden, Commander
Dream: To prove that Dusters are just as worthy as anyone else in Orzammar.

A Carta thug from Dust Town whose only goal in life was to survive for the sake of her sister, and to prove to everyone that she wasn't just a useless brat like their mother was so fond of telling people. She devoted her life to being the best brawler that Dust Town had ever known, which is what originally brought her to Beraht's attention.

Both of the Brosca sisters had their own physical charms about them, however Cayln's were much harder to see underneath all the dirt, bruises and scrapes from her constant brawling.

Beraht already had Rica under his employment however, and it was obvious to anyone who cared to notice that Cayln's temperament was too risky for the same type of work as her sister, he was too likely to lose money with her doing that. However an extra pair of throttling hands were always good to have around.

Growing up in Dust Town had forced Cayln to develop an extremely harsh exterior, shielding her from potential emotional hurt. She had shaped herself into a bruiser in the hopes no-one would try and get close to her.

But Leske managed to wriggle his way past her armour – the first person to ever dare to do so – for which she respected and loved the man. From then on they were inseparable: Brosca and Leske, Beraht's most feared duo. Leske provided the wit and the smarts while Cayln was the intimidation and the muscle. They were a good team and together they could fool themselves into thinking they could do and become anything they wanted.

Being recruited into the Grey Wardens and having to leave behind the only two things in the world she cared about set Cayln right back. She was harsher and snapped easily. At first no-one could see past the brute Cayln acted like. Her defences had been set up again stronger than ever.

Cayln was always easy to anger and this never changed. In a way she liked everyone disliking her – thinking that she was nothing more than a brute with a death wish – it meant they were kept distant and she wouldn't have to worry about caring for them. Every so often they would catch a glimpse of another side to her. When she stormed to the Chantry to demand Sten's release or the mercy she showed to Zevran to name just two.

However it wasn't until a month or so after recruiting Zevran that her defences finally slipped again. It was the subtle similarities between him and Leske that crumbled the stone she'd set up around herself.

The Cayln Brosca which began to show through was different than the one she'd spent so long trying to convince them that she was. She is a fiercely protective individual with a fiery temper. But at the same time her insecurities run deep, being a bruiser for Beraht had left her convinced of her unattractiveness and she couldn't see any real worth in herself. Cayln is also as stubborn as the stone itself, when she set her mind to something she would get it done as well as she could. She has real issues with trust and keeps wondering about ulterior motives. At the same time she is probably one of the most trustworthy of people to unload on – she will take a secret to her grave if asked to. She is impatient and at times can act out of an emotional drive instead of thinking things through.

Cayln also clings to the past a lot, even while her romance with Leliana was blossoming she couldn't let go of Leske until his death at her own hands. Her moral compass is permanently in the grey area. Her intentions are usually for the best, however she doesn't always go about things in a way everyone agrees with. She is still also quite harsh at times. Being Beraht's lackey for so long left some deep marks that will probably never go away – Cayln will probably never completely stop being a brute deep down though she is getting a little bit better at controlling it.

Leske did rub off on her a bit as well – quite often to try and distract from tense and less-than-friendly atmospheres Cayln will make light-hearted comments. While it isn't always effective it can sometimes keep her companions' spirits high which is all it needs to do.

Name: Kalec Cousland
Race:  Human
Sex: Male
Origin:  Human Noble
Orientation: Likes the ladies
class: Warrior
Specialization: Champion, Guardian and Spirit Warrior
Weapon Style: Sword and Board
Ranged Style: None
Occupation: Erstwhile Warden-Commander
Dream: Find his love Morrigan

Younger son of Teyrn Bryce Cousland and his wife, Teryna Eleanor, Kalec was a good-natured young man whose goal was to please his parents and uphold the honor of his family. Being the younger of two sons, his opportunities to prove his worth weren't as ample as he had hoped, his brother Fergus getting most of the opportunities.

His first real chance to shine came on the eve of the battle at Ostagar, as his father and brother were headed off with the King's army. While he wanted to go to battle with them, he was to remain at the castle and keep a watch over things. His mother, too, was leaving, allowing Kalec the change to rule as he saw fit. That night his fortunes changed drastically when Arl Howe betrayed the Cousland, sacking the castle and killing everyone they saw. Kalec fled, leaving his mother and mortally wounded father (upon their insistance), to become a Gray Warden and help bring an end to the darkspawn horde growing in Ferelden.

As a Gray Warden, he still tried to live as good a life as he could, even if it would raise the ire of his companions at time. Morrigan, one of the first to join his group, was always on him due to his "goody goody" ways. Sten, as well, was quick to comment on Kalec's penchant for helping those in need, even if it meant their main mission was delayed. In the end, though, Kalec won over his companions and won the heart of Morrigan, who he counts as his one true love. When the Archdemon fell to Kalec's blade, his heart was broken as Morrigan departed, leaving no trace of her travels. It was his mission in life to find her.

That mission was put on hold when there were reports in Amaranthine of darkspawn attacks. Upon reaching Vigil’s Keep, the Howe estate-turned-Gray Warden facility, he discovered a large number of darkspawn. After slaying them and freeing the remaining Keep population, he was made the rule of the Arling of Amaranthine.

While still good at heart, he had to make some tough decisions. While before he would stop to help someone, as Warden-Commander and head of the Arling, he didn’t have the luxury. Justice needed to me meted out, even if it meant imprisoning well-intentioned thieves or executing those who left the ranks for good reason. His biggest, and most controversial, decision was calling for the destruction of Amaranthine. Though the decision was a good one, he was troubled for years about what he had to do that fateful day.

After the darkspawn threat was eliminated, Kalec stepped down as Warden-Commander. He had had his full of adventure and wished to resume his search for Morrigan. He never returned to Vigil’s Keep after stepping down and was rarely seen in Amaranthine.
