Biggest problems we have is blight dwarfs and magi.
when do heroes come in?

At the end of the turn today there will be a random event. There's about a fifty percent chance that a hero will show up, with the potential for several to arrive. At the end of tomorrow's turn there will be another random event.

For Game 3 I'm considering having random events happen... well, randomly. They'll just happen throughout the day. Discussion in the DA:WG group is encouraged, rather than filling this thread with long debates/arguments/discussions.

Ive decided our job as the Crows is to be the ones to keep the balance.

We are never in a position to win but are always in a position to have someone else win.

We must attack Magi,Blight, and the Dwarfs to keep this game fair for the others.

The templar sitting at the campfire was relieved when he saw his friend come back from the woods. "Well that took you long enough, did you grow that firewood?". The other looked at him teasingly, "What's the matter, you afraid of the dark?". "Very funny, just.."
The savage wolf came out of nowhere and with one quick snap of his jaws ripped out the templars throat, blood was flying everywhere and gurgling, the templar fell to the ground. Quickly the other templar dropped his firewood, he had his sword out before the wolf could recover from it's attack. The two were now circling eachother around the fire, the wolf did not seem afraid of it. The templar was about to attack when he saw his dying friend pointing to somewhere behind him. It was too late, before he could turn around, he was struck in the neck by what felt like a needle. As he fell he saw a giant spider climb out of the tree he had been standing under. Then, his blood felt like it started to boil, he would die a slow and painfull death.

A mage walked up to him, his face was completely covered in blood. It was the wolf. As the templar was silently being tortured to death from the inside out, the mage bent down to his ear and whispered, "One by one, you will all pay for your arrogance templar".

Are the mages supposed to be able to heal beyond their starting HP cap?

Aarik steps easily into the group of warmages the Circle has sent to the battlefield. Almost negligently, he pumps power into the framework of a spell, flooding the magi around him with a sense of vitality. A light smile plays over his lips as he watches the battle flow below.

Tossing a token onto the Magi.

Will the Antivan Crows and the Dwarves continue their squabble, oblivious to the Blight brewing? Will the Templars focus on the heretic mages or turn to face the new threat?

umm all the dwarves have done is attack the blight whats this about a squabble? sure the crows have been beating us up a bit but we never retaliated once!

and @JEBesh

yes the heal spell just gives them +10 health regardless of starting health etc.

EDIT: would like to point out that the mages have healed themselves up above all but 2 teams and are on their way to healing again... might be an idea to take them down quickly before they heal so much that they cannot be killed ;)

I was under the impression that the teams were balanced so that the Blight would intentionally be overpowered so all teams would need to unify against them as soon as possible, just as one would expect.

I'd like to point out that the mages have healed so much because they've taken more damage than every other team combined already.

EDIT: Woo! My 100th post was almost pointless!Image IPB

Yes, the Circle of Magi can heal above their starting health. I may change this for Game 3. Or perhaps I'll have some sort of win conditions that don't include 'whoever has the highest life.' If it seems the Circle of Magi are going up in life too fast, do something about it. ;) Convince people to keep 'em in line.

And yes, the Blight are purposefully overpowered.

This is terribly confusing. We have the choice of either going after the mages and ignoring the Blight that is meant to wreak havoc, or taking care of the overpowered race while the mages heal into invincibility.

Well I'm sorry that I've confused you. You're not the first person to have these concerns. We'll likely cap the Magi at only healing to their max life during the next game. =)

That seems to be the obvious choice. I don't see the sense behind allowing mages to "heal" themselves into tanks. Oh well, next game I suppose.

Aye, I am thinking of conceding my position as "Founder" of the Grey Wardens in order to join the Dwarves against the Magi

For the blight, are you allowed to attack twice in a day or just one ?

The Blight can choose two targets when it attacks, dealing full damage to both. Keep in mind that a great offensive ability isn't nearly as useful as a great defensive one. Ignoring the Magi's ability which we can all agree needs tweaking, the Dalish have a deceptively useful ability, for example.

As for the 'no healing beyond max life,' that's going to be a tag I'm going to add to ALL lifegain abilities, including hero abilities.

Lmao, rolling a 1 on the random event generator would be awesome. :D

I mean, all the other teams would still get their Heroes' Enter Abilities, they'd just have no chance of keeping them alive until the end of the game. ^_^

Btw, Emperor's OP still has a ??? for the sixth random event. On the discussion boards we decided to make it a High Dragon attack that'll deal 1-6 damage to each team.
