He's modelled after the dutch model Mark Vanderloo, therefore he's dutch/caucasion (in appearance)Bentenjamin wrote...
I'm talking about the standard male Shepard.
He does not look african American at all. When i was the first trailer for ME I thought he was african american, but when i played I couldn't deside.
Poverty still exists on Earth in Mass Effect therefore theres still varying social classes (as there always will be)He was born on Earth, and Earth is for rich people which he was not,
It never specifically mentions Africa it simply says some countrys still are only at 20th century technology.you probably know and in the codex for Earth it says Africa has yet to leave 20th century technology. What do you think?
Anyways Mass Effect is an RPG (Role Playing Game) and even if you choose the standard (boring) default Shepard who is born on Earth you can still use your own imagination to decide which country he came from.
Thats the beauty of RolePlaying!

There's no such thing as different races among humans. Only different cultures and ethnies.
You mean ethnicities??
No matter. It's completely wrong. There are several different races on planet earth. Aborigines(nearly exctinct), negroids, mongoloids, caucasoids.
I don't know how much crack one would have smoked to think Shep was anything other than white-caucasian. His facial features are almost stereotypical caucasian.
