 So, I got Velanna's approval to 100 and just noticed that her rating is at "love" ... this seems odd for a game that does not allow for romance options in the storyline.  I mean, sure in real life people can love you and not tell you, but 

A) As a mechanic in a game it should mean something, and
We haven't had a single conversation which would explain why or indicate that she might love me.
C) I don't recall even getting any indication that she liked girls.

I have Anders at 100 too and he is just warm, as are the others I have which are very nearly at 100.  

Even if romance, per se, isn't an option, if the team was going to put that in they should have followed it up with a touching quasi-confession scene or something.

Not that I'd ever cheat on my Leliana.  I like Velanna all right, but not enough to date, much less replace the swoony, squishy love of my character's life.  

Just seems odd.

Im a dude, and Anders is 100 Love with me, and believe me, I have not made a pass that way. It's just a bit buggy I think. Also, Bromance, brotherly love, that's how I assume Valenna and Anders feel. Probably Oghren too, he did name his nugget after ya.

There is a deleted romance scene involving Velanna that got cut from the game in the spirit of GTA. To reach it, play through the game on Nightmare, and during the mother fight enter the cheat code (Alt + F4) when her health is between 25 and 10 %. Remember, timing is important.

I think anyone familiar enough with PC gaming or software in general would know that alt F4 isn't a cheat code...



But, anyways, Anders "loved" me too, but they give femWardens the option of flirting with him here and there, so I thought maybe he'd developed a crush that would never be acted upon.

Given the earring placement, I honestly thought Anders was gay, but after I maxed out his approval it never came up so maybe not.

If you go by that, then Duncan was gay too.

Maybe his (Duncan's) little tryst with the mage girl in The Calling was part of his experimental "Am I or Aren't I?" stage.

Nah, earring placement stopped meaning anything after the 80's - 90's, now a guy can wear a ring in either or both ears without it being a not-so-secret "I'm gay" sign. Besides which, he demonstrates some obvious interest in the party females. (though he might be bi I suppose ... magic does encourage experimentation I hear)

The earring thing was never actually meant to be a "gay/not gay" signal.  It was an informal extension of the hankie code.  Having your left ear pierced meant you were active, and your right ear pierced meant you were passive.  

Of course, during the height of the clone look, tops were expected to be super butch and masculine and bottoms were expected to be effeminate.

To straight observers, the right-ear-pierced guys were more obviously gay, while the left-ear-pierced guys seemed more "macho", so when straight guys got their ears pierced, most opted for the left ear.

Anyhow, in the ending I got Velanna was crushed by a giant pillar of falling stone, but her body was never found. What happens if you take her with you to fight the mother?

In my ending Velanna went back to the wardens for a while, but eventually went off on her own, hinting that she may have gone to the deep roads to continue the search for her sister.

It sorta bugged me how Velanna's sister never came up in the chat with the Architect.

She kinda does if Velanna is there. Vel says something along the lines of "Yes, this must be what my sister saw in him." and argues to ally with him. The sister also comes to see you upon entering the area with the Tevinter towers.

Sounds almost like there WERE romances, but they missed some bits when they eventually axed them...

I dont know about romance, i think it just might help decide what happens at the epilogue cause both Velanna and Anders love me after doing their random chats and ive used the friends line on them both times...dont want my girl Anora getting jealous

Yeah, Anders 'loves' me and Nathaniel is just 'warm' for all I finished his quest and he 'should' be 'friendly'.  Gosh darn it.
