Wut. THe voices sound fine. What standard are you using?OnlyShallow89 wrote...
Now that looks good.
It's a shame the voices aren't overly good again (but they sound a bit better), and they really needed to fix Geralt's voice on that trailer. Otherwise, pretty good. Looking forward to it, but I still need to finish The Witcher

Could have just been the buffering thing going wrong. Was the one on GameTrailers, anyways.Panderfringe wrote...

No. This is stupid. I don't want to have to read a movie. I can buy books for that.Burdokva wrote...
Even though I have a hard time understanding Polish (it's similar Slavic language to mine, but I haven't studied it or anything), I fully agree. Games - and movies, for that matter - should be enjoyed in their original audio track.
EDIT: So you're saying the voice syncs are weird? Sure, I'll buy that.

- Story takes place directly after the end of the first Witcher
- Gameplay is no longer time based
- Combat systems are much more integrated this time. In the first Witcher, you had to go back and forth between using a sword and using signs (sp?) (forgot what Witcher magic is called in the Witcher universe). This won't be the case in the Witcher 2
- Much more endings to the Witcher 2 than the first Witcher
- Aiming to be released in Q1 2011

Assuming that's Triss, she doesn't look like the bride of Frankenstein anymore... So that's nice.

I do hope they've at least made Signs more useful though. Seriously, the ONLY signs I ever used were Aard to knock enemies over and occasionally Igni for lighting campfires. That was it. You could massacre everything else with your sword, so putting any talents into the other signs was a complete waste. >.>
Oh, and while personally I prefer Shani? I think that in-character, Triss is a much better match for Geralt. As a Sorceress, she can hold her own in a fight, she ages much less slowly than normal humans (so she can spend a longer lifetime with Geralt), and she provides the long-range planning and diplomatic skills that the more hot-headed, impulsive Geralt lacks.

Oooh, the Witcher 2 is coming out? I can't wait for it! I absolutely loved the dark, gritty, fantasy world of the Witcher in the first game, and the way it turned so many typical fantasy tropes on its head. I can't view that trailer here at work, unfortunately, but I'll catch it when I get home.

No they are not. The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf was supposed to be the console Witcher game, but it was put on hold quite some time ago. The Witcher 2 is for PCs. Rise of the White Wolf wasn't supposed to be a sequel, but more of a remake of the PC version, the story was supposed to be the same, only the game would be remade for console gameplay-wiseWrath of Bong wrote...
While the first game had its flaws, I still love the game. CD Projekt Red is considering making the sequel on the console. I hope they change their minds, as they will probably dumbed-down the game so it can be made on the console. I wonder if the sequel will keep the boobies cards from the original? Not that I got the game solely on that.
You have 2 things mixed up.

They are developing TW2 on their own multi-format engine, but it's aimed for PC. It might be ported to consoles later if they want, but PC was and still is the primary destination for TW2.Wrath of Bong wrote...

I never said they won't have it on the PC. But I'm concerned that they might make the game for consoles. In the past, when developers intend to make the game multi-platform instead of just PC-only, they dumbed it down like what happened with Thief: Deadly Shadows and Deus Ex: Invisible War. Not saying CD Projekt Red will defintely do the same with Witcher 2, but I do express some concern since it happened with other games in the past. I'm probably worrying over nothing. I'll see in 2011.Balerion84 wrote...
