I'll be honest through my playthrough (which did about half the sidequests) I flat out just stayed with King Meric's Sword and Duncan's sword.  I'm sure there were stronger swords but the bonuses that came with my two swords seemed to be the deal breaker.  Were there any two truely epic swords that I may have missed?  Did Wade make you any superior swords?

I just had duncans dagger with runes and a dagger called Moutain something I dont remember but I never found any that topped that.

There's a dagger sold in Amaranthine that is easily the best dagger in game, its called the voice of velvet and its about 175 sovereigns but its well worth it for the stats, damage, and how it looks. As for swords im looking into those now

Keening Sword from Gaxkang in Origens was never replaced and with 3 Rune slots was doing obscene amounts of damage. Meric sword is all right but only really shines when used with the set shield.

Voice of Velvet + The Rose's Thorn for a whooping +130% to Backstab. Perfect for Backstabbing Rogue. You can get other gears (such as Rings and Belts) that also boosts Backstab bonus. I am pretty sure you can hit close to 200% in Awakening with that.

King Meric's sword has 3 rune slots (at least mine does) its got AWESOME bonuses especially if equiped with Duncan's sword (both are dragonbone in my game)

I'm not looking for daggers, I'm looking for SWORDS.  I'm a dual wielding warrior not a rogue.  That's why the title said Swords and not daggers.

If not, hitting over +150% is just stupidly overpowered.

It is. In fact, it makes the game ridiculously easy.

My Rogue in Awakening is routinely backstabbing for over 300 damage. He has about +230% backstab damage from gear (Velvet, Rose's Thorn and 5 +20% backstab damage runes), and runs 4 sustainables: Song of Courage, Weak Points, Momentum and Shadow Form.

not in the least = D. and its kinda nice to see my rogue crit for 9k with heartseeker.
As for 1 handed swords ill have to get back to you as i go through a second time with my arcane warrior she needs a nice sword for tanking = P

Vigilance is the best sword ingame. You can get it from Wade.
