I wasn't wearing any RtO dlc items on my main character (or on anybody, I think). Had two items equipped from Stone Prisoner, though. Guess they caused it.

Anyway, here I go reloading a save from three hours earlier. Great work, Bioware.

Edit: Oops, just found this with a search, didn't see the forum. I'm on pc. My bad.

I had this problem on PC as well, and I kept reloading saves right before being captured, and the bug kept happening. I'd wake up naked in the cell and still have my unequipped gear, plus my rings and belt and stuff. Then for the heck of it I tried stripping myself naked right before that part, and it fixed it. I woke up with an empty inventory and wearing clothes.

Lost all of my gear as well in silverite mine. What a bunch of crap Bioware. Please patch ASAP.

Had the same issue with Subject 4 not showing up, so I re-loaded a saved file after the encounter with Seranni and started my escape all over again.
Subject 4 didn't show up again, but oddly enough when I went to loot Subject 3 (who had Anders' equipment) mine was also thrown into the lot. I've no idea if that's happened to anyone else, but everything from then on worked as it should.
I was lucky enough for that to happen with my warrior, but for the life of me I can not, no matter how many times I re-load get Subject 4 to show its pretty face for my mage.

I woke up naked with my Callian gloves and boots. How would I ever think to myself there was a problem and restart? I have lost my helm, bp, two swords and all my trinkets. I spent so much time making runes for everything. Fix this! All my saves are after waking up!

I have a Silverite Mines question, has anyone else found all of the Blackblade Armor?? Supposedly it is all in the mines, but all I have been able to find is the Tunic and Helm?? If you have managed to find the gloves and boots, where were they?? Anyone

There is a secert door for some of it simlair to the one in runis where the wearwolfs are you have to find the archway and stand infont of it. it will say you found a secert door.

I lost all my gear as well - even though I usually always make hard saves I forgot in this situation, and the game has overwritten all 4 autosaves to Silverite Mine saves. Great! I just lost a character leveled from origins

Hey folks,

The experimental subject that wears your gear can sometimes be killed by one of your party members without your knowing. If you cannot find the ES right away, try looking around the area to see it it got chased off or was killed in one of the big fights and got lost in the body count.

That being said, we'll look into why ES 4 would no be appearing and see if that has anything to do with the dlc equipment.

Why do rpg games use this stupid meme over and over?

"captured by supervillian, stuck in jail, character X just happens to show up to help you escape but not really you gotta jump through hoops first"

Its like a really bad saturday morning cartoon plot.

These kind of events always end up being some of the worst parts of every game that ever used them, and the "taking away all your items/locking abilities" or whatever stupid trick that gets used almost ALWAYS has bugs.

-another person who only found out after 2 hours of clearing that main character was already ruined, and had to even farther back in saves

Had Duncan's Sword equipped.. so guess that's what did it. Back to the beginning of Wending Woods I go! Tomorrow that is... sleep now..

This ain't cool. Bio should have checked this. I am somewhat anal and I don;t like to keep a lot of saved games. So I end up losing all my stuff. ME2 and DA are both good games, but I wont be buying anymore bio stuff because of the bugs.

Oddly enough I've never had this problem (PS3) and I had Duncan's Sword equipped as well.

what i have to do not to lose my items i lost everything including all potions,runes,gifts it's really annoying and i can't find the experimental subject for main char also...

Something similiar happened to me with the ancient darkspawn way back when, i just had to suck it up and wait for another playthrough to finish a certain quest.

Just to add to the info, ES 4 did not show up for me, the chest before the dragons was empty, and I have no DLC...

Edit: Confirmed -  You can NOT be wearing callian's armor or any RtO itens, they must be on your backpack.
AWAYS: blame the DLC!

I had Callins armor set on as well as duncans sword and merics blade and had no problems with this quest...  Experiment 3 and 4 spawn in the same area but 4 (main chatacter) is in the back and hard to find...

I finally got it to work!!!! (PC version) I had to try several times before it worked, but basically this is how I did it. I stripped just my main character of all items right after entering the mines but before we were captured by the Darkspawn guy. Then all my characters had basic "clothes" on after being imprisoned and had no items in their inventory. Then I encountered all 4 experimental subjects, but the 4th one didn't have any items on it since I was naked before. The 3 other ones had my other 3 characters' stuff. I finally got to the part where you meet Armaas the merchant guy. And right next to him is a chest. In the chest was all of my main character's items and all of my inventory items before being captured! Also, I think there are only 2 pieces to the Blackblade armor: the helm and the tunic. I didn't have any DLC equipment with me for this part. But for the first several attempts at this I had problems. Either I didn't find the 4th experimental subject or the chest next to Armaas was empty. So I don't know why the final time was any different. Seriously, Bioware get your act together and fix this bug! It's extremely annoying!!! But hope this helps Dragonage fans! Oh, also I know how to do the puzzle in the Architect's Lab. Keep pulling the left lever until the 2 balls are glowing on the opposite site. Then pull the right lever. This should open the door!

This is a bug I feel bioware needs to flush out asap. Everything else that's happened so far is mostly just 'meh'.



This...this, however, is game-breaking in my opinion. I can't even go back to an old enough save to fix this now.

Well, it's exactly how BlueMagi says... But this bug with lost equipment happend to me even if i had no dlc item whatsoever and i had wades armor set (i tried this more then 7 times, with armor gone, rings gone, weapons, but i always lost my gear when using wade's armor. So it's not just DLC items... You should all just take down all equipment for your main character and picked it up from the chest.

Had the exact same problem, though I managed to fix it by just removing the stuff I had from the Return to Ostagar DLC. Not just from my own character, mind, but from the other characters as well. At first I did just remove what I was using and went ahead, but while I did have clothing in the cell, my inventory wasn't empty. So instead of going through the entire thing (again) on the off chance that wasn't going to be a problem, I reloaded again and removed what the other characters had from the DLC. (so glad I'm obsessive about keeping every single save I make). That fixed it.



What I don't understand was I'm fairly sure when I played this before with my previous character, he was wearing the Cailan armour at the time, but I never came across this glitch...
