Awakening

The Good:
- The general mood of the game. It was fast pace, darkish, and very immersive.
- Having to rule and all that comes with it. I loved presiding over my little court in matters of justice, very stimulating.
- Having to gather materials to upgrade keep and armour and such. Great idea, it added something which made the situation feel more genuine – just like having to decide how and where to use your army.
- The new companions – extremely interesting. I found Nathaniel, Anders and Sigrun to be particularly wonderful. Great personalities.
- Seeing old characters from DA:O, like Wade and his partner, ect..
- Adored the brainy writing - like the Blight Orphans' quest notes; how adorable was that?

The Bad:
- The lack of dialogue with the new companions and the rigidity of the new system. They were so interesting, and the 15 hours, or so, of game play went by so fast, that I find myself wishing I’d had more opportunities to speak with them – like in DA:O.
- No romance. And no, I’m not talking about the bedding, just kissing would have been fine by me.
- The little bugs that bug you a lot – like I found an elven runestone and some little figurine for an Alistair who not once showed himself. The seneschal even told me that I was the only remaining Grey Warden, when, in fact, in the end of my original DA:O story, I had gone with Alistair to rebuild the Grey Wardens.

Too, I like Oghren enough, but I miss Alistair. If only for his status of Grey Warden, he should have been a possible companion – provided he was alive at the end of DA:O. And, of course, Morrigan should have had a big role too, many guys are mad about her.

Image IPB BioWare, please fix all of this in the next one?
