*Spoilers about Human Noble Origin*

I just have to say, that I have never been so engaged and felt so close to any charactrers in an RPG in a long time. When the castle was overrun by Howe's men and I came upon my characters father dying and then his mother willing to die alongside him, I was incredibly touched. I actually wanted vengeance against the traitor. I wanted my character to run him through. Normally the beginning story lines of any RPG are so bland and boring, but this one was so well done.

Bravo Bioware!

Can I ask what is meant to happen after the battle in the central room in this origin. I'm trying to get to the larder, but the exterior approaches are blocked by rubble and fire and the door that opens that way is locked shut. Is there a key or is this another annoying instance of triggers not happening causing you to run around in circles for hours wondering what you've done wrong?

ok I've had that problem my self and the fix seems to be that you have to wait until the knight talks to you after the fight, if you talk to him first it screws it up

Why did Bio change the human noble story line and why is the king not recogniseing my noble as a noble and instead now thinks your from redclift , I uninstalled and reinstalled and its the same, there no longer a part where the king acknowledge your cousline child , why was this cut out , and since when does a farmhold in redclift have its own army and a manor house????? is this another bug that bio is once more ignoreing I know I didn't dream that story line up when the game first came out . Why change it now this is annoying.

I just played the Human Noble origin a few days ago, and Cailin recognized me (and offered to turn the army towards Highever afterwards). Do you have all of the patches installed?

Marny, I've played the Human Noble a lot - more than any other origin - and I've never had this happen before.

There was a human commoner origin that got cut from the game. Apparently if your origin flag gets glitched, you can cause some of that discarded dialogue to trigger:

There was also an Avvaar Barbarian origin that got cut early on as well.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm.............are you using any Mods? The "Universal Voices" Mod did exactly that in my game.

I know this may be an odd question; however if you choose not sleep with either Iona or Darrien will you find they dead bodies like Darrien's Mother?

I don't think so.  My first HN did not sleep with Iona, and I don't remember finding her after the attack.

True, and you don't find Dairren either. I even remember looking for them in the study off the library, but they're nowhere.

I have looked for them, and while I have found various corpses, none appear to be them. However, my settings and eyes are less than perfect for such details.

You see Ser Gilmore and Malol's corpses at Fort Drakon. It may be that they were taken there, or perhaps their bodies are just in some part of the castle you can't reach because of fire (Theoretically. I know their bodies aren't there in the toolset.) One can only hope the Iona was killed in the attack. Some of the alternatives are too horrifying to contemplate.

Where do you see Gilmore's corpse? I don't remember that (not that I particularly looked for him)

In Fort Drakon during the Captured! quest. The cutscene shows two bodies that look like Gilmore and Mother Mallol
piled on top of one another, and they can be found at the bottom of the stairs just outside your cell, iirc.

Yikes. One more reason to want to execute Loghain.

I think that was more Howe than Loghain.

I thought Fort Drakon was all under Loghain's control?

Not sure, but Howe is Loghain's second hand man...

And supposedly Loghain didn't have anyone involved with the betrayal of Castle Cousland. They would've had to have been captured by Howe to be there.

Howe is definitely second-hand. Loghain probably got him from a garage sale or a flea market. B)

*snrk* Yeah, Howe was definitely used goods, and not in a good way.
