then. He had dismissed a claim that he was romantically involved with
Captain Anderson, too, even though it had been totally obvious.

That part was instant gold. I'm really glad I read it during my downtime at school.

Okay, adding a bit of reader interaction to the story now (for all the readers enjoying the story so far):

Where do you want Jane and her squad to go next? Should they attempt to kidnap recruit Dr. Okeer and his LEGACY on the dirty junk-world of Korlus (risking the Commander's oh so beautiful manicured nails in the process), or would you rather see them starting a riot on the prison ship of fail known only as Purgatory (adding Jack and maybe Warden Kuril to the team)?

I've written a bit of both missions now (along with Garrus' loyalty mission) and I can say that Shepard will once again prove herself to be an insufferable flirt, to Okeer, Grunt, Kuril, and, of course, to Garrus and Saren (as always). There's a lot of "bad" things going on in both recruit missions and the scenes that happen before/after them, ranging from Jane just flat-out hitting on Kuril in a life-or-death situation to a rather...interesting version of the Grunt tank opening scene.

I also want to say that there will be a lot less sex jokes in future chapters (thank GOD!), as I'm getting quite tired of them myself, but that won't change Jane's personality in any way. She still jumps the fangirl bandwagon every time she gets as much of a hint of an alien actually liking her. And even though this fic is nothing but crack taken to the extreme, the real romance scene(s) right before the squad passes through the Omega 4 relay will be a bit more serious.

I'm almost done with another Normandy Intermission chapter too, kind of similar to chapter 6. I hope I can post it soon.
