Well thats a good replay value and mine would be the same if the bugs didn't irritate me. The game is enjoyable and memorable but to be honest I'm starting to get sick of poor programming.from Developers.

All in all the game is enjoyable but I would have loved to play my DLC on the xpac.

I've gotten only one noticeable bug - a single crash early on, but I replayed through the area and it was fine afterwards.  I haven't noticed any more bugs than Origins, which is to say, for me, not many at all.

How exactly would DLC from DA:OA work?  Do you mean importing weapons and armor, or do you mean Return to Ostagar from Awakening?

Yea I do mean the armor and weapons along with Stone Prisoner ( no idea how they didnt think to put him in). You have noticed the graphic bugs? lag? items disappearing then re-appearing? constant lag when you kill the last enemy.. takes forever for their loot to come about. Lag on quests mobs not dieing right away, swinging at the ground neither tho they have no health. Also my kills don't track properly at all. Btw if you want to see alot of lag have a Ranger spawn a Spider and man its fun to watch a still screen for 5 secs.

Seems like the little things are the ones that irratating me. Don't get me wrong I love this game and hope another comes very soon but hopefully the next one they polish up a bit better.

I wanted to buy it, logged on PS3 eu store. Noticed the pricing. Left the store without buying it. So i guess that I will pass on this expansion until its lowered.

@sandtigress

it's a matter of principle. i buy all books in hardcover, if available. i have no problem with paying good money for good games.

but i do feel screwed in this particular case. and as it seems - i ain't alone.

I payed 40$ dollars(on sale) for DAO. DAA is 40$ here. I wonder why I'm so turned off from it. I wish this was the only reason as well

Also not letting us use Items from DLC is plain stupid. those are items we paid for. I would understand if this was Dragon age 2 but this is an expansion of DAO  not a stand alone. so why the hell cant we use items from it's host game? I'm not even going to get into how rushed and buggy it is since that has already been spoken of so much.

Now I'm not saying I'll never get it. I'm kind of on the wait and see, but it's definitely on the very back of my list to get now.

Very,very disappointed

Well, while the Warden Commander armor would be nice from an RP perspective, and I love the way Starfang looks, the rest of the stuff pales in comparison pretty quickly to the massive amounts of armor/weapons that the enemies drop not long into the game, and I have hoards of money with which to buy pretty new things that are far better than most of the DLC items.  It is an odd oversight that probably comes from different people developing in different ways, and I trust that Bioware will fix that in the future, but again, not a game-breaker for me.  Return to Ostagar stuff transfers over, so you get to keep Duncan's sword/dagger and Maric's blade/Cailan's shield which are all good weapon sets.

Why would Shale still be there?  In all of my games, she's gone to Tevinter.  Shale is just as much a companion as Zevran/Leliana/Sten and others we don't see in Awakening, so I just don't see why there should be an exception just for Shale.

There are slight lags in the gameplay, every once in awhile, but I got worse with NWN2, so it doesn't bother me.  So long as it doesn't get me killed, its just a part of playing a game.  I haven't had a probem with disappearing items, and the item drop thing usually seems to happen (in DA:O, at least) after playing the game for too long. Turning it off and restarting always fixed that for me.

I just don't see those little things as being reason enough to turn away a continuation of the tale that Bioware is telling us through DA:O.  For me, that tale is interesting enough to keep going.  When its not, I'll quit buying.

E RAGE!!!!!!

I bought it, and I'm satisfied. Maybe people should read the previews next time so they don't feel "cheated" with a 20 hour single player fantasy RPG

Just fyi, the booklet for DA:OA isn't all that much - you won't be missing much by not getting it. And you don't have to deal with switching discs to play Origins and Awakening, so that's a minor little plus.

As for the price difference, that's just kind of how it goes for playing "foreign" games, isn't it? Not saying you don't have a right to complain about it, but if I want to play the latest RPG from Japan, I first have to wait for it to be translated, then probably pay more to get it as well. Imports might be cheaper, but I have to go with what I can understand/play/buy.

I bought Awakening because I want to see where the story goes.  Just like I tend to go out and buy new books that I'm excited about even if I end up paying more to get  it in hardback.  All the rest of the stuff is minor enough for me not to care so much about it.  If your views on it are different than mine, so be it, but for me, there's no deal breaker in this game, and I am thoroughly enjoying it.

Oh man, if only you realized that Japanese releases actually cost a ton of money. It was close to $100 US coverted from the yen price for FFXIII.

You must be joking.

Since when do "foreigners" have to pay more for their games?
If you import a game that's one thing but if you buy it in your own country that's a whole different story.

And if the transaction proceeds ONLINE there is absolutely NO excuse to charge more, since you are paying here just for stored data on a server.

The price is outrageous for an expansion. I'm really upset, I wanted to buy this, but I'm not being taken for a fool.

I must be lucky. I bought Awakening on disc and haven't experienced any bugs or glitches. I'm about 8 hours in the game.

Also, as for DLC items, it seems it a little odd. Some items are missing and some items are not. I have Shale's crystals in my inventory and Duncan's weapons from RtO as well.

first thing i would say is....the foreign game arguement holds no weight anyway...as the game has been released on disc on both pc and xbox 360. pc version you can buy online for around 15 pounds (uk) which is less than half the price of the ps3 version.

also, you can buy the xbox 360 version for 25 pounds...which is also still cheaper.

sadly this has put me off buying another bioware game made for the ps3. i really dont know why they bothered if they prefer the xbox/pc gamer anyway.

ill learn from my mistake and make sure i buy the pc version next time instead. a shame really.

From reading all the comments, i noticed most of the people complaining about bugs are xbox players, you guys didn't realized the 360 is the most bugged platform EVER? I have Awakening on PS3 and the only notable bugs i have found so far is

1. Sound crashed when too many activites all at once

2.Oghren staying in place and swinging his weapon like mad when the ennemy is on the other side,

Sure, its regrettable but i have hope it will be fixed later on with the upgrades and such, for now, i am just enjoying the sequel to a game i love.

Really there are ppl here who believe PS3 games are more expensive? Tell me when a game on the PS3 and 360 that had a higher RRP on the PS3 and then the 360...
This game's just dissapointing me over and over...
I waited an extra week to get the PS3 version and suddenly they pull a mac version out a little later not to mention the UK collectors edition was gimped to the max then there was all the problems with the DLC redemption as well as the soundtrack and now the expansion pack price.

I hope they fix up the expansion's bugs... especially the one with Ander's personal quest... I need to finish it.

Sadly all these bugs are due to EAs pressure on Bioware to deliver. there for they cant use the time they need for bugtesting.

That's what I was thinking, too. I've been very satisfied with every Bioware game I've purchase up to DA:O. The most apparent difference to me is that EA is now in the picture.

How sad. Euro - Dollar exchange is like 1:1 on PSN -.-

The price, here in Italy, is 39.99 Euros, which is 54,5 $!

So, should we European players pay 55 dollars for an expansion? It's totally unfair (and no-sense); practically we (european customers) have to pay for an expansion the same price that an american customer has paid for the entire game.

(Just for info, Dragon Age's price at launch day here in Italy was 69.90 euros, which means 95,15 $. They are really thieves)

This has to be the most buggy piece of software ever published on PSN... Sony is not going to be pleased that something this bad has been approved... Bioware - there is some SERIOUS firefighting necesarry to get this game/addon playable...

The forums are for discussing the game and tech issues.  Not crying and waging "DON't buy it!" campaigns.
