I take back everything I said about this game with the exception of the keybindings. Keybindings suck, the game is amazing.

I want the weapon bindings, or at least the ability to put em in quickslots! I'm a soldier for crying out loud!

Afaik, you couldn't put weapons in quickslots in 1, either.

I know, it was an idea. Gimme my keybindings instead of having to use the pause thingy. I'm using a wolfpad, so I'm used to mapping each button out to better fit my play style.

You can swap between your two most commonly used weapons with X. Or just take half a second to bring up the squad thingy and click it.

Ah, I have an n52te. Mapped the quickslots to the D-Pad. Lulz. No more halting in the middle of a firefight to throw a power around.

I agree on this point. One thing that would make ME2 flow better is if keybinds for menus and weapons were in. Having mousewheel scroll would also make it easier to read too. In ME1 weapons were bound to F1-F4, and while this isn't the case for ME2, due to the possibility of having 5 weapons, I would've liked the option to bind the weapons to those keys, while binding the heavy weapon to another key.

Glad to see that you've played through further to appreciate the changes and general improvements that have been implemented.

Yeah, I have a logitech dual action, but I prefer my wolfpad and razer mouse. I tried the gamepad in ME1, but it just didn't feel right.

The n52 isn't a gamepad. It's another version of your wolfpad. Shooters + controllers = heresy.

Eh after playing ME1 again, I have to say I like the ammo clips better, its a bit faster to just reload than having to wait for that red light to go down, it also makes the game more strategic for me.

daaaaaaaaaaaaaammmnnn

a sequel doesn't HAVE to be the first game, most of the time it's better if each game is different and can be taken on it's own. like most of the 2 games on nes. The point of a trilogy of games i don't think is just to make one LOOOONG game that takes 5 years to come out...that would be the opposite of good because then the wait for me3 would probably cause me to go on a rampage. The fact that each game can be taken on it's own is a wonderful thing. It means if you buy me2 you can walk away satisfied without having to GO ALL THE WAY BACK TO THE BEGINNING BEFORE YOU EVEN START.

QQ = alt+qq = insta-ragequit command in Warcraft 2. It doesn't mean "Cry, cry".

FFLB, I read a lot of people's comments here to and followed some of the links. I really had to just keep playing to realize why they made the changes... some I still don't like but there's good reason for it.

As much as I don't like picking up clips, it's another way of stopping you from just spraying bullets all over the place. I really liked how you had to balance your weapons upgrades with your cooldown times in the last one.

Yeah, I'm reading up on it now. The balance between upgrades and clips doesn't seem to really be there in this one, but I haven't finished it yet, and you can upgrade the Normandy. So... meh?

Yeah, unless it's a nub runner like Halo then you need a mouse. Wait... what am I saying? Halo 2 for PC was far more awesome.

It's not exactly a review, or at least it's not a good review. it's more along the lines of a "long forum post" kind of ordeal, dude.

I gotta agree about the keybinding. sprint should be it's own button and you should be able to bind weapon switching. (There's just the 5-6 weapons.) I would be SUCH a badass soldier if I could do that. In ME1 you have better weapon switching (on pc) but in me2 you have better gun combat. Having both would make soldier one of the funnest classes to play.
