Awakening brought two new specs for each class. All of them have high level requirements, so they are intended for the high level stuff. However, as far as I can tell, using two of them seems to be equivalent to shooting myself in the foot, and one is utterly redundant. Namely, the Keeper, the Spirit Warrior and the Shadow.

The Keeper is focused around the One With Nature spell - a sustained ability that roots you in place, does close to no damage even with 70+ magic and 2/4 points into the thing. Is the final ability (Nature's Vengeance) THAT good? I'm honestly asking, because I don't really see why I would cast One With Nature instead of almost any other spell...

Spirit Warrior is literally lowering my DPS. As far as I can tell, the main selling point is the ability to convert all damage into Spirit damage, thereby bypassing armor. I'm not quite sure what the mechanics are, but upon activating Beyond The Veil, my damage drops by 10-20 points per hit, even more on crits, and Peon's Plight (which normally crits over 300 on Elites for me) is now barely doing 150. So now I'm being drained of Stamina at an alarming rate and I get minor defensive bonuses and a DPS penalty? Exactly how is this spec supposed to help me?

Finally, there's the Shadow, who is made mostly redundant by using Stealth and Taunting. Again, how does this benefit me?

I really don't get it. Legionaire Scout offers solid combat benefits, Battlemage is likely making every Arcane Warrior wet his pants with anticipation and Guardian is a solid Tank spec. However, the other three just seem worse than the Shapeshifter from the original game, especially Spirit Warrior.
