Dear Bioware:

When I unlocked the Berserker specialization for my character and use the first unlockable ability (The Berseker Rage or something... it's a sustain ability), it doesn't... "sustain". That is, after opening the inventory, looting a corpse, or making any action which opens up an "inventory" type screen, it goes away. This can be quite frustrating and I am pretty sure it is not intended... please fix? :D

E.

P.S. I think it's silly that you can't actually go back into Warden's Keep once you finish the mission. What a sad waste of a castle... and maybe it's me, but it takes away from the character being able to contact the mage at the top anymore... who one would think has "breakthroughs" in investigation for the player. Hmmm... :D

Actually it is intended. Berserker Rage remains active only during combat. Try activate it outside combat and it will go down in a few seconds.

No amount of anger management can make you stay mad all the time!

By the way, this is a user to user support forum. Bioware mods rarely check here.

Actually the part about activating it before combat is not true....If you activate beserk before combat it will stay active till after any future combats, I have tested this. So basically that is the main reason I thought this skill was bugged.

Another skill that has sustain problems is Rally, if you notice when you first get rally it will stay sustained all the time, but after you gain the talent Superiority, Rally will turn off when you exit any zone. This tells me its bugged.

Never encountered that problem with Rally.

Here is the thing which categorizes Berserk differently from the rest of the sustained abilities:

In the tactics screen, you can use the command Self(Any) Activate Mode(e.g. Rally, Shield Wall, Frost Weapon.. etc.) Your party members will activate those as soon as the tactic screen closes basically, and keeps them sustained outside combat.

With Berserk however, even if it's set to Self(Any) Activate Berserk, the AI will only activate Berserk during combat, and once combat is finished the berserk goes away.

What may be the case here is that the skill is somehow bugged for you, but in the sense that it should be deactivating itself outside combat but didn't. Think about it, in DnD, or whatever game you can name, has berserking be the type of ability you can keep up for days while your character is off snoozing?

The same could be said for any buff in the game. "If your character goes to sleep, would they really keep up telekinetic weapons/cleansing aura/precise strikes, ." Or "Can your character really focus enough to keep up through the hours of tedious non-combat travel?"

The arguments do not follow a solid logical basis. I feel it's simply an oversight in the coding, and using the RP excuse is a complete line of bull.
