I'm an arcane warrior/blood mage/battlemage and I'm curious if any other arcane warriors are having a difficult time keeping draining aura up with all of your other sustainables. I'm not too far in yet but just curious if anyone else is having a difficult time and if they know a good way to keep draining aura up. I'm assuming Stoic might help with this?

I usually don't have Draining Aura up. Mainly because I don't lose enough life to be bothered by using it. I use Massive or Heavy armor. I never really saw the effects of stoic because I hardly ever lose enough life apart from boss battles.
I run primarily with Rock Armor, Combat Magic, Invigorate (party buff), Shimmering Shield and Frost/TK weapons. I hardly lose all my mana with this and I ran through most levels with just these on. I totally forgot I had Spell Might as well...
I shift between many of the different aura buffs depending on the situation. Draining Aura if I need some health. Arcane Field when I need more dps. Elemental Chaos for the lulz. Miasma sometimes when I feel like it.
Mind you, I had Spell Might, Arcane Shield (with Attunement). I never used any of these. I might try using them on my next playthrough with an Arcane Warrior.
It may help that I sought out as much Willpower buffs in any form (armor, items etc.) Just to keep my mana pool manageable. I had something like 108 willpower (from items etc.) at the end game.

Drain Life should be drained mana, it's the quickest way to bring your mana level to zero
I use elemental chaos sometimes when there's lots of enemies (else it isn't worth the mana cost) but I primarily use the repulsive sustainable. It's just insane, Golems can't hurt me, they get knocked down before they stand up. It's also VERY effective vs enemies that try to overwhelm you!

Drain Life starts off powerful but seems to have really poor damage growth. It can become very powerful with lots of +spirit damage items though... you need lots because most of the things you fight in the game are resistant towards spirit damage. Probably why they placed +spirit damage items all over the place.
But what really kills it DPS-wise is the sustained cost and the mana cost - you lose 80 mana for sustaining it iirc and each "drain" costs around 20 mana. So even if you had 600 mana, 5 enemies x 5 "ticks" and your mana has been drained to zero. The burst damage can be worth it against standard white/yellow clustered enemy groups, but you really shouldn't be focusing on those.
You don't have to be an Arcane Warrior anymore to be an extremely tough mage in Awakening.
