correct the fallout dlc is still £7.99 a pop on the playstation store bioware/ea have us by the short and curlies

not really if we all refuse to buy it as that would be an awfull loss to ea/bioware, solidarity is the way to go to make them listen as I for one will not touch awakenings at this price even if it was a hard copy I would wait till it was £25, and I will also think twice before purchasing any other game from them

: ok while i have you on could you also tell me why it is more expensive on the ps3 than any other platform?

Richard: sorry i do not know

: how about why the saves are locked only on the ps3?

Richard: sorry i do not get you

Richard: are you there?

: well other games on the ps3 allow transfer of saves to a memory stick or external hard drive so you can back them up. they are copy protected for DA meaning that we could lose all our save data

: several games were locked arigionally but after customers asked them, they unlocked them, however no one has responded to any of the threads about this subject on the forums

Richard: I am forwarding the issue to my senior support who will get in touch with you through email and also look into it at the earliest, will that be okay with you?

: as long as someone emails me then yeah

Richard: 48 hours

: thanks for the help then

It's $36.99 on American amazon, that's £24.25 in real money, so why is UK getting the shaft and being asked to pay £31.99 ??

lol EA have well messed up their pricing, clearly the conversion rates charts at EA HQ is full of ****.

In all honesty tho, its a blatent pricing error, and will probably be fixed within 2 weeks. 32 quid in a recession on an expansion which costs more than the main game, and on PC you can buy Origins AND awakening forless than 30 quid.... Its just gotta be a mistake. But then again its EA..... LEIK LETZ PUT DA DRM ON DA GAMEZ COS LIEK IT WORKZ TOTALLIES LUK AT ZE SPORE GAEM. How many stupid decisions have rolled out of EA. Perhaps their desparete for cash, trying to take on Activision... meh.

Apart from when it was first announced I haven't paid much attention to anything except 'DAO Awakenings released on blah blah blah' so I didn't even know there was no physical release for the PS3 until last night when I spent ages scratching my head wondering why I couldn't order it from anywhere despite there being PC and Xbox versions. MAJORLY disappointed in that for starters.

To top that off the digital copy I'm expected to happily download is priced more than I'd have to pay to buy a hard copy for another platform which has been pressed, printed and shipped all about the place.

I hate all fanboy bull but which idiot decided it's perfectly fine to shaft all the people who bought the PS3 version?

Maybe they forget to convert it from dollars...ahahah. Seriously, yeah the price is steep. I'm kinda in the mindset its a mistake and they will refund the differance and just put money back into my account. Or offer us some points as a refund.

Why are you all complaining? 40€ is much less than i expected. You have to take the incredible customer support for ps3 owners, the privilege to only download it and the many hidden secret bugs exclusive to the ps3 into account!

I'd say 80€ would be a reasonable price. For 40€ you only get lame shareware like GOWIII, FFXIII, YAKUZA 3, ect.

I have a solution for all of you who feel like a thief after downloading Awakening for 40€. Create a new PSN Account a download it a second time. So you can feel good again and enjoy your 5 hour long journey through programming errors, poor design choices and WOOOOHAAA new super spells!!!!!!!

Here in the Netherlands i needed to pay €39,99 on the PSn network. My friend bought for the 360 on disc and only needed to pay 29.. so once again the PS3 users are getting the shaft

Went into GAME today and they were selling it for £30 on Xbox 360. After everything I have heard (12-15 hours and incredibly easy even on higher difficulties) I just thought no way. I actually got DAO brand new for £22.50 and there is no way I am paying more for Awakening. I can wait a few weeks.

It should have been £25 or less, I actually thought it was retailing for £20.

I thought it would be £20-25 - £25 at the VERY most. £32 is just plain ridiculous espeicaly seeing as though it is possible to get it on £360 in disc form for £25, why should the PS3 be anymore than this.

I was looking forward to getting this and was certain that I would, but for that price it's just insane!

I think it's a sick joke expecting loyal fans to pay more than £19.99 for a 20 hour expansion pack. Well, I for one will wait until it reduces in price. I could easily afford £32, but I won't get ripped off as a matter of principle, even though it upsets me to miss out.

The price is way too high indeed, in the Netherlands you can get the disc version of the XBOX for less then 25 euro and the PC version for 14.99 and then they charge the PS3 owners 40 euro??

So I am wondering: if I import the disc version from the usa (it'll cost me around 27 euro to get that one) will it work with my european DAO version?

I've read somewhere that DLC coding is region locked thus meaning that we in EU wouldn't be able to add an overseas version to our PAL origins, wouldn't match.... =( otherwise I would also import... sigh...

No point importing really, unless you imported your copy of DAO from the same region of course. This price is ridiculous though. I want DAA, just not that much...
