Does anyone know where to buy the recipe for Grandmaster Lightning Rune? I need one for a quest/recipe(Awakening), and can't find one anywhere.

i am not sure on this but i thought i saw it on one of the vendors in vigils keep.

This didn't show up for me until after I'd completed the main storyline arcs; keep checking back with the vendor

I've read that if you send the guards to the farms or to the city you the vendors don't sell the lightning rune in the keep. I haven't found it anywhere else. so far. but I'm only half way through the game...

You just have to restore trade to the Keep by rescuing Lilith in the random encounter quest and recruiting the Qunari merchant in the silverite mines. When you talk to the merchant at the keep he'll say, "thanks to increased trade flow I've been able to bring in a few new items into my stock, want to see them?" or something like that. One of his new items is the grandmaster lightning rune.

You need to complete a sidequest...it's the one the women to the left of the seneschal gives you the second time you speak to her.



Basically you need to get Lilith (a random encounter) and a qunari (found in the traderoute quest) to go to the keep and set up shop. This will get the merchant in the keep to have more goods including the grandmaster lightning rune.

Done all of this yet still haven't gotten the tracing from the merchant at Vigil's Keep. This is the only mission that I have not completed and am assuming it is glitched.

I'm having the same problem as well. Completed all the quests and sidequests, got the two merchants in the keep but still no grandmaster lightning rune recipe.

I did send the guards to the farms. Don't know if that's what triggered the glitch.

Thankfully I carried a grandmaster lightning rune over from Origins.

Edit: I checked my saves and Yurah inside the keep has the rune after having visited all 3 main areas of the games.

I do have more info for this. Apart from completing Trade Must Flow (should you fail to get the tracing at the start of the game), when you meet with the Nobles and congregate, the Seneschal will ask you for where you may wish to send soldiers to: the city, the farms, the trade routes, or to stay at the Keep. Before this, I didn't have the Tracing in Yuriah's inventory after the Trade Must Flow quest. However, I opted on a whim to protect the Trade Routes. I spoke to Yuriah, and he mentioned that the Trade Routes were better protected and he had new stock. Among these new items were several Masterpiece and Grandmaster tracings, including the Grandmaster Lightning Rune Tracing. I was so happy =). And I'm on the PS3 version, so I don't have the luxury of mods for potential bugs.

....so back on this post....I completed Trade Must Flow, sent the soldiers to the farms, and Yuriah still doesn't have the grandmaster lightning rune tracing. Help??

^You need to protect the trade route or try to protect them all.
