I know there's supposed to be a time when you can choose to have your character wounded. (From seeing Amio's version on her art account http://aimo.devianta...age-2-145787743)

Aimo's artwork there is more along the lines of "What would your companions do if X happened?"
There is no period in the game when it actually happens - this is what fan art/fics fills in for us. Now, your characters can take wounds if they fall in battle that you have to heal with injury kits, but from there, you have to use your imagination.
