Again Shepard's bill with Cerberus and TIM in case anyone missed it-

Payment to the Shadow Broker (unknown but clearly astronomical)
Lazarus Project- $4 Billion Credits
Normandy SR2- $240 Billion Credits of EZO

Would YOU allow Shepard to just walk away and take your property after spending that kind of money?

That depends...am I able to front a more hostile, protective force capable of killing Shepard for defying me?  No.  Therefore, I tuck my tail and wish Shepard well in betraying me...oh, and I'm a ****** so I deserve it.

Traitors.  They're sending money to an organization which murders alliance soldiers.

They knew the risks.

Another reason not to give up the Normandy: all that Cerberus info that EDI gets access to after the locks come offs her.

You have all spoken to her after the locks come off, right....?

That's what makes it so funny. That and doing it with the help of TIM's well-endowed secretary. Ha.

Paragon Shepard is truly a pirate-king in space. ^_^

Ha! TIM has to have a grudging respect for Paragon Shep, he probably also gives him bonus points for romancing Miranda too (especially since she's supposed to be the frigid, all-business loyalist). :innocent:

I don't think you quite understand what you're saying.  You're saying it's okay to murder soldiers because they are prepared for death.  That's so absolutely retarded I don't really know what to say.

The act of murdering those Alliance soldiers was reprehensible both because it was a murder and because it was a betrayal of the entire Alliance, hampering its ability to defend billions of humans from the innumerable threats out there in the galaxy.

Seems TIM didn't entrust EDI with any sensitive facts. No names, no locations, not even definite number of Cerberus cells. Good luck!

how about no...Cerberus is a terrorist organization...do you think the alliance or the council will prosecute Shepard for taking it?

Would you return a bomb to the taliban or any other terrorist organization?  exactly....I swear the Cerberus bandwagon is the dumbest one to come across from a game in a long time.....

Think of it this way: Cerberus is the KKK of the late 22nd Century galactic space race. This, of course, makes it even more fun to do everything possible to sabotage the organization and its efforts, subvert its membership, and steal its best technology for use against the bigger enemy.

Gotta start somewhere and Spectre status does have its uses. Plus bullets and a lot of anger can get you halfway across the galaxy If you use 'em right.

Oh and I wonder if they filed all the serial numbers off the parts you got on the SR2? lots of little money trails...

They knew the risks of...being...murdered?

Here's how Akuze went down: it was a burgeoning colony. Suddenly, it goes dark. Marine team sent to investigate. Thresher maw eats everyone. Cerberus specifically set a thresher maw to kill a squad of Alliance marines twice (recall the mission that starts the Kahoku quest). No accident, no 'they knew the risks'. Just 'hey, Alliance soldiers, there's a thing over there you should check out.' 'Oh, really? What--BLAARGAR MY LEGS MY LEGS ARE MELTING'. It wasn't an experiment, Toombs surviving was a lucky accident. It was murder.

And if you say 'sending humans in is the only way', you're wrong. If they wanted to see what a thresher maw could do in battle, why didn't they send mechs? Or test with animals?

Because Cerberus is cartoonishly evil.

Yeah...

- Between Mordin, Miranda, Thane, Legion, unchained EDI, and Tali you've got plenty of tech/espionage expertise to cleanse the ship of all Cerberus devices/bugs. There isn't any risk in keeping it.

- Hating Cerberus means you don't care about them which means you have more reason to steal the ship than someone who doesn't

- and... hmm... oh yeah, Cerberus is evil.

Have you read a copy of the contract, that people sign when they enlist in the Alliance Navy? May be they willfully subject themselves to highly realistic simulations without prior notice in course of advanced training and/or military research programs. You know, to serve humanity. The greater good. All the stuff.

Either that or they don't understand science like the rest of the galaxy.  Injecting acid into someone's bloodstream?  Yeah, we know what that does, we don't need Cerberus to get 23rd century Mengele to perform experiments for the lulz.

If it was in the contract, there wouldn't be such a outcry about what Cerberus did.

And where is this contract? Have you seen it? If so, where can we see it for ourselves? Besides, I don't recall Shepard signing (or being given a chance to sign or not sign) any such contract with Cerberus. The only one we know she signed was her enlistment papers upon joining the Alliance military.

Cerberus didn't have that kind of authority, even when they were part of the Alliance.  That kind of decision would have to be made by their superior officers.  What happened to Kahoku's men was them going rogue and betraying all of humanity.

I think the statement is based on the idea that if you have issues with how Cerberus does it's business you should not use a ship which is the end result of said business.  The idea being that the ship is "tainted" for lack of a better word.

Similar to Maelon's research data, do you keep it because it's valuable and useful and could cure the genophage or do you disregard it because of how it was acquired (always found how that decision's set up odd).

Of being betrayed by the very people they swore to protect?  The average Alliance soldier probably isn't aware that Cerebus even exists.  Therefore it stands to reason, that the soldier would view a Cerebus agent, not as some black ops member, but a civilian that he's sworn to protect, or a fellow Alliance soldier who has his back.

Dying from the enemy is a risk all soldiers take.  Dying from a knife in the back from your allies is not supposed be a risk.

Come on, confess, that you don't have a slightest idea of who has authority to what in the Alliance. 99% of people think that a certain diplomat has authourity to lockdown an Alliance warship lent out to the Citadel Council.
