i aint givin anything back to him.

he funds a project to bring back to life, he gives me a crew, shows me where the best of the best can be found, and gives me a new and improved ship.

i repay him by stealing his ship, his people including miranda and jacob, giving the sensitive cerberus data to the alliance and blowing up the collector base.

felt good trolling TIM.

Dude that is one awesome post thats the exact same thing I did XD.

Analogy fail.

In any case, there is no excuse for treason. There are four noteworthy reasons, summed up by the acronym MICE (money, ideology, conscience, ego). I wonder, Zulu_DFA, which reason is yours.

The Systems Alliance is the duly elected and enacted representation of humanity in the galaxy. To betray the Alliance is, in fact, to betray your species.

On an irrelevant note, where's the "revenge"?

Either that or they don't understand science like the rest of the galaxy.  Injecting acid into someone's bloodstream?  Yeah, we know what that does, we don't need Cerberus to get 23rd century Mengele to perform experiments for the lulz.

Not to mention the thresher incident with Kahoku's marines was years after Akuze; they REALLY should have figured out that thresher maws are bad news by then. Or they could have, you know, asked any other race in the galaxy. Krogan certainly have lots of thresher maw experience. There's no way there isn't a galactic wikipedia entry on them already.

I swear to god, nobody was sucking Cerberus's dick like this before the second game came out. It's all Martin Sheen's doing.

Seems TIM didn't entrust EDI with any sensitive facts. No names, no locations, not even definite number of Cerberus cells. Good luck!

Gotta start somewhere and Spectre status does have its uses. Plus bullets and a lot of anger can get you halfway across the galaxy If you use 'em right.

Oh and I wonder if they filed all the serial numbers off the parts you got on the SR2? lots of little money trails...

I see. You too want to end up like Kahoku. Or Paul Grayson.

Bring it. You have neither the reach nor the flexibility. On any level.

Agreed as well. Martin Sheen is such a great actor; he can play both hero and villian with such vigor that you just know the hero will be ultimately heroic, and the villian will be completely ruthless and evil.

It's cool to know that TIM is trapped in virtual reality and can't actually wallop the crap out of your head and shove some sense up your arse... Because IRL you don't want to mess up with such people. Even if you're a mix of James Bond and John Rambo.

Come on, confess, that you don't have a slightest idea of who has authority to what in the Alliance. 99% of people think that a certain diplomat has authourity to lockdown an Alliance warship lent out to the Citadel Council.

And you do?  I assume that the Alliance military works fairly similarly to the United States military, as well as the militaries of the commonwealth nations (which might be more accurate, Bioware is Canadian after all).

As far as Udina's actions go, remember that the Citadel is under Council, not Alliance, authority.  Alliance brass doesn't get to call the shots there.

I think the second use of Thresher Maws was less experimentation and more implementation.

Neither does Udina.

And the military works similarly everywhere. They take orders from their commanders-in-chief, and commanders-in-chief are always buddies with some fat corporate cats. And there's nothing you can deny to a really good buddy of yours, right?

Work *with* Cerberus.  At no point in any of my playthroughs did I have a Shepard state (s)he was willing to work *for* Cerberus.  Cerberus is not the Alliance.  The Chain of Command doesn't exist.  There are no military rules in effect.  TIM does not have the authority to court-martial or discharge Shepard from service.  In fact, TIM needs to move to a new location, because with Miranda on Shepard's side now, my Shepards(all SPECTRE's again) will be more than happy to have her lead them to TIM to bring him before the council for war crimes.

There are a few traitors who are funneling money towards a terrorist organization, but that's it.

Traitors, or patriots?

Traitors.  They're sending money to an organization which murders alliance soldiers.

They knew the risks.

Of being betrayed by the very people they swore to protect?  The average Alliance soldier probably isn't aware that Cerebus even exists.  Therefore it stands to reason, that the soldier would view a Cerebus agent, not as some black ops member, but a civilian that he's sworn to protect, or a fellow Alliance soldier who has his back.

Dying from the enemy is a risk all soldiers take.  Dying from a knife in the back from your allies is not supposed be a risk.

Traitors

Have you read a copy of the contract, that people sign when they enlist in the Alliance Navy? May be they willfully subject themselves to highly realistic simulations without prior notice in course of advanced training and/or military research programs. You know, to serve humanity. The greater good. All the stuff.

Undercover officers are still subject rules and regulations and the laws apply, if they conciously kill a fellow officer who is not undercover.  Think undercover cop killing a uniformed cop.  Your argument applies only if Cerebus is still a RECOGNISED part of the Alliance military.  The Council (if you saved them) says they are terrorists, and Anderson (if you appointed him to councilor) gives the cold shoulder and won't tell you what's up with Alenko/Williams because you are working for Cerebus.  That pretty much implies that Cerebus is a rogue unit.  Since they've gone rogue, Cerebus won't answer to the Alliance equivalent of the UCMJ.  And as a rouge unit, they are not valid members of the Alliance and not able to create "Highly Realistic Similations" or "Research Programs" on behalf of the Alliance.   Those Alliance soldiers in question are now considered - MURDERED.  The only way out of this, would be if the Alliance soldiers involved knowingly VOLUNTEERED for a CEREBUS (which is now at best a CIVILIAN group, or a domestic terrorist group at worst) simulation/experiment.

And remember TIM refers to the Alliance as "The Alliance," like he and Cerebus is outside of them.  He doesn't refer to the Alliance as "WE", like he and Cerebus is still a part of the Alliance.

Udina used Shepard to get to the Council and succeded (as a side effect a galaxy was saved from an immindent destruction).

Then Shepard was sent to his death.

Then TIM rebuild Shepard and successfully used him to destroy the Collectors.

Shepard = tool, pawn, errand boy.

There are as well Geth and Rachni ready to help Shepard (i assume that "visit in Timmy's house" will be first case of Geth INTENTIONAL Infiltration :D) and no despite all claims of Cerberus Lovers here Timmy don't have any kind of authority over my Shepard from the moment she was reinstalled as Spectre.
Well:
Shepard's revival - 4 milion credits.
New Normandy - 250 milion credits
Pissed off Timmy - Priceless :D:D

And one more thing...  If Commanding officer will give away any info about pending military operation and will be catch on act then this IS counted as HIGH STATE TREASON  and usually end whit Death penalty.

Only because s/he agreed with most of it (or should I say it didn't conflict with her/his interests?). And for the send to her/his death part, well s/he still answered to the Council. Not sure how it's going to be now, but I'll bet s/he goes to the other races for help.

Isn't that what Renegade Shep is about though? Screw the rules, I do things my way.

"Pure psychopathic renegade" Shepard is. "Ends justify the means renegade" Shepard isn't. I mean he does say "screw the rules" to the boyscout / good christian morality guide, but he adheres to the unritten rules of expediencey of which I am talking about. And those rules say that it may be required at some to expend him as well.

Recall Eden Prime. Are you sure Anderson had been unaware of the incoming attack and it was just a pecaution to send him, you, a council spectre and a stealth frigate there? But he tells you: "Info strictly on the need-to-know basis", and he means it. And you accept it. Neither he tells you all he knows about Banes later on.

Shepard is a middle-ranking officer, not the hub of the universe. His mission is unique, but he is not entirely in charge of it. People in charge have him do the shooting.

You may have a point... at least until 1/10 of the way into ME1 when Shepard became a SPECTRE.  He doesn't answer to the Alliance anymore.  Only the Council.  The Normandy and its' crew, however, were on loan from the Alliance.  Nothing says he couldn't just get his own ship, though.  Oh look, a completely illegitimate terrorist group handed Shep one in ME2.  Thanks, Cerberus... but I don't condone the atrocities you commit on a daily basis.  I'll enjoy the ship... pray there's no info lying around that reveals your location, or your ass will be dragged before the Council, literally.

Am I wrong, or is the Cost over run of the Lazerus project 4 billion dollars, instead of costing 4 billion dollars????  I will now have to replay and actually listen to the messages, but I thought the message says the Lazerus project was 4 billion overbudget, and if true, then no telling how much it actually cost.
