Specifically, the exploding ferret in the Crown and Lion Inn. (Yes, it looks like a rat. No, you can't mouse over it before it aggros. But once it aggros, its title plate says ferret.)
I assume this has something to do with Ferret Baudoin, but has anyone found something to do with it besides step close enough for it to attack, kill it, then have it explode? I tried using Sir Pounce-a-lot nearby, but that was a no-go.
(although it was a total WTF moment the first time, which turned into a story to amuse my friends. But srsly... WTF?)

This is why you shouldn't keep ferrets near open flames. They need to put a warning label on those things.

Isn't there a random encounter with Ferret the Packrat while travelling? Are the two related?
