I haven't played through as my mage yet, but at the end of her game I freed the circle from the chantry. Does anyone know if that's relflected at all? Since Anders is an apostate and templars are after him in the previews, I doubt it.

How the hell do you do that? lol

My guess is that they aren't freed within the 2 year time gap, your epilogue probably said the amount of time it took.

Mine didn't. I got the standard "Circle was repaired and Irving declared everything was all well and good as much as could be" slide. I got ticked and reran the AD battle and took Chancellor instead. At least that had an impact on the ending.

wynne said there is an order of mages trying to get the mages freed from the chantry, which is why they were convoking a college meeting.

Now I'm eager to finish my mage's playthroug hin DAO now to see if it changes what Wynne says during that reunion. I think I am going to have that mage (once done with primary' chars playthrough) go bloodmage and anti chantry as well.

At the end of My run Through Anora , who I choose to rule, asked me what boon I wished. I said 'free the mages and let them govern themselves' she said 'I don't think the Chantry will like it but consider it done. The mages are free to govern themselves from this point onward' or something like that.

Amarathine is part of Fereldan. It's an Arling. Like a state.

even by doing it in ferelden, what is she going to do with all of the templars? The chantry has its own army, is not like she can tell them, oh hey btw we dont need you anymore. mmkay bye.

The Circles in other countreies are seperate from each other. The Orlesian mages live a bit differently from those in Fereldan because they have thier own rules and such set by the Chanrty in thier area. Same way the Quanari have no Circle but you don't see templars running around thier lands.

The Templars will stick around, they're duty is still to hunt down rogue mages. Thing is, without the keys to the circles prison this makes the job harder and relegates them to sticking aournd chantries untill they get word of maleficarum in the area.

Look i don't care what the logical progression of this is supposed to be. My epilogue in origins announced the mages freedom in fereldan. If it didn't work out or something went wrong IS THERE ANY MENTION OF IT IN AWAKENING? That's all I want to know

Had the same ending, I told Alistair to free the mages. The epilogue said they were freed, but for some reason in the time that passed between the epilogue and awakening they've become enslaved again. Go figure. Also could've sworn the crows weren't ever going to take out another contract on me. More lies.
