Seriously, the guy is like Jar Jar Binks you guys might like him but the people don't, seriously he is like Jar Jar Binks if anything next expansion or sequel just show him in a three second sequence and let it be done.

Also will Darth Gaider force the new converstation system in the next expansion. Will I have to travel the world to find objects just so I can talk to my teammates again? Or can I do it the normal way like just going up to that companion and talking to it?

I absolutely love Oghren! His lines are awesome :)

I like the new conversation system too. Makes sure you become friends with those you travel with, not those left behind.

Oghren becomes a Golem in the next expansion, forever condemning the fans of Dragon Age to an eternity of obscene awesomness.

Bleh, bring him back as a darkspawn ghoul, so most of use can have the pleasure of removing his head.

We need evil nicknames for the other writers:

"Scary" Kirby

Chris "Judas Priestly"

"Ferret" Baudoin

I hope he is a party member in all further expansions and sequels in spite of you.

Oghren was my least favourite companion in DAO and DAA - but there was a difference.  In DAO, I still kinda liked Oghren, it was that I just found him kind of one-dimensional compared to the other companions.  But in DAA, I found myself beginning to really dislike him.  There was nothing new about Oghren in DAA, nothing to inspire me to get to know him better and, because there are considerably fewer potential companions in DAA, I found myself really resenting having to use him as much as I did in the 1st part of the game.

Shale said in DAO, "Familiarity breeds contempt", and after having played with Oghren in both DAO and DAA, I feel about Oghren the same way Shale does about the folk of Honnleath (i.e. if I never seem him again, it'll be 20 million years too soon).  If Bioware does feel the urge to bring back Oghren in future installments, I hope they do so in such a way as to allow those of us who have had enough of Oghren to leave him 'on the shelf'...

Isn't Oghren written by Sheryl Chee? The same writer who wrote Dog, Leliana and Wynne?

That said, the more important question:

Will Darth Gaider bring cheese?

Because Mary is bringing the cookies.

All of the writers had a hand in creating Oghren.

But... I love Dog, Leliana, and Wynne. Oghren... hmm... depending on the other party members along with him, I like him more or less. Usually less. Which is odd, because I love dwarves and beer.

It's probably the mustache. I want to take my dagger to it YESTERDAY.

Really? Do you think he's never heard that one before, especially given that he works for a software house? Possibly the most obvious pun I've seen in a long time...

They needed to get their money's worth out of Steve Blum (and quite right too!)

Yes. But she's a girl and doesn't matter.

I didn't get to know Oghren very well in Dragon Age because I tackled the Dwarf Ques last. He was somewhat amusing, but easily my least favorite party member. I'm only a few hours into Awakeing and he has already worn out his welcome. He sounds like a drunken frat boy and doesn't seem to have any depth. I can't wait to find another party member and dump him. In fact I may dump him now as I think between my imported Rogue and the new Mage we can handle just about anything.

Oghren and Sten were interchangeable from a gameplay POV, but I always went with Sten since Oghren was annoying. The only use I had for him was putting the LOD armor on him so he looked like a proper Dwarf.

Jar Jar Binks was so not the problem with episode 1. It was the fact they got such a young and crap actor to play Anakin. If the story had been written around an angst ridden teenager they could have got someone who could actually act (like the kid in terminator 2) and the story would have been much more believable. The whole romance plot might have even worked.

As for Oghren, if they picked a single character to bring back I can see the reasoning at it being him. So many of the other characters might be unavailable for story reasons. I think you could make a logical argument in Oghrens case against any of the other characters.

Lol why all the steady stream of Oghren hate? To each their own I guess.

Some of his conversations with Alistair are hilarious. And while he is a drunken buffoon 90% of the time, he is a drunken buffoon with depth which is not easy to pull off in a video game.

Besides he is voiced Steve Blum, how can you not like the voice of Spike from Cowboy Bebop running co-pilot with you?
