Why are there so many confused people who think they are speaking for the whole community?

I think Oghren is great and hopes he returns in the next expansion or sequel.

Not as the ONLY returning companion however. If he returns alone, I be disappoint.

I'm a fan and he's my favorite.

Myth busted.

He is not my favorite, that goes to Lelianna and Alistair. But he is one of them, if you take the time to get to know him, he is not just a blockhead and drunktard, then again, he is a dwarf so it's to be expected that he drinks. As I've mentionend before in some post to oghren "haters" - A dwarf, not of the "noble" or  "cateless" would not behave as such, nobles need to keep their image up, and casteless cannot afford it.

Point being, you who think he is just an obnoxious drunk, thoughtless moron. Play him, get him to open up (he does it after a while), you'll that his 'immature' behaviour is just a shield to cover up his pain of losing Branka and everything else.

If you don't like him, don't play with him, don't see why you want him gone from the game, when it's evident that so many besides you like him. Geez. not choosing someone is as difficult as breathing, you either do, or don't...

Played him through awakenings..and the short mission he had to be in in Orgins. Most memorable scene for him in my eyes is when the lady dwarf rogue (Sigrun or whatever) calls his bluff and he flounders totally.Poetic justice for Oggy.

I just clicked with Sigrun a LOT more than Oghren.

Bring Oghren back regardless of what retards say, he is the least developed character ever.

Losing his caste after leaving the surface, his wife dead, losing his house to a lesbian and the list goes on, how can he not be interesting ?

- Oghren was brought back in Awakening for convenience.  Players got him last, and he was not romanceable, so there would be no difficult baggage to carry over.  And we all know how keen Bioware was to carry over your baggage from Origins.

- Ogren was supposed to be there for comic relief in the dark undertones of Awakening.  That failed because you had to reload ALL his conversations a minimum of 5 times to avoid a -10<3 because you either a) laughed with him (-5), were serious (-10) or made fun of him (-5).  This kind of made the process unfunny.  Oghren should be easy to shoot up the approval and he should not be so touchy in a 15 hr expansion.

-  His epilogue is depressing - I can't laugh at absentee fathers.

- His crudeness is funny for 10 minutes, after that, it's just annoying.  Fart here, arse there, yeah yeah.  Same with the drunkenness.

- Normally I'd say he couldn't be in DA2 because of the relationship baggage from Awakening.  The devs wouldn't waste time in getting that to carry over, just like they didn't carry over Leliana or Zevran.  However since DA2 is very unlikely to play your Awakening warden, Oghren may just make a cameo or worse.

We can only hope that if he is in DA2, there will be an option to take out a contract on him with the Crows...

I speak for my self when I say give Oghren a happy ending as a choice. I want to make him sober for good. Then we could all respect him more as a man and less as a drunken lunatic.
