Less than 5 hours for me, if I do most of the sidequests...

After having just played Heavy Rain, Uncharted 1 + 2, and God of War... 15 hours will seem like a long time. Can't wait till the 'ole computers fixed and I can actually play. DAMN YOU ORANGE JUICE for slipping out of my hand and destroying my computer.

Just under 20. That's after doing all the quests I can and crafting Paragon runes for everyone.

Playing as the Orlesian warden who has to do more gear hunting than a strong character from Origins would, less than 10 including all the side quests.
I'm with Worksa8, if I took my strong Origins character though I could probably get close to 5 hours with skipping some of the dialog.

5 hours? BS
i use the console big time and even with an uber character... you can't breeze through nightmare awakening just like that...

I complete my full nightmare origin runs at 40-45 hours, that means everything done.At my pace Awakening is about 12 hours of content.

My first run through Awakening was 23 hours and 57 minutes exactly..but I like to explore and make sure I've hit all areas, and as many quests as I can. First run I didn't do any rune-crafting and I didn't finish off the Wade and Herron quests.
Oh and I play on Hard mode..if that makes any difference.

lol i got bout over 20+ hours on my first play threw as well with most every quest done (missed valenna & sigrun's sidequests ; ; ) i'd say on average for future playthrews now that i know where most everything is, about under 20 hours
I'd say go into it as a epilouge and not a full blown new game and you won't be disapointed, all & all i really liked awakening

I never skip side quests... I always try to do everything I can in a game to get the most out of it. I haven't played Awakening yet, but I easily see getting 10 hours more than most people. that's probably since I listen to most conversations multiple times through to see the differences. I have around 115 hours on my first Dragon Age playthrough

I just started awakening first by importing a character then getting lost and forgetting my equipment in the mine. so he was screwed i started a new one to find the equipment you start of with is actually pretty neat. Orelisian warden armor is just a un decorated version of juggernaut with the same bonus. Anyway back to topic i only got it today and will squeeze every part of this expansion out i want to enjoy it as much as possible.

I think the maximum you could squeeze out of it would be about 24 hours. I missed Sigrun's personal quest because of her bugged approval bar (jetted up to 100 the instant I added her to my party, couldn't get any conversations with her after), but did everything else in the game. I came in at a bit under 25... but a good 3 hours or so was messing around with runecrafting, which is a huge timesink and turned out to be utterly useless since I had missing rune recipes and was, although I didn't know it, only an hour or so from the end of the game already. Knowing where everything is and skipping the waste of time that is runecrafting and I doubt I'll spend more than 15 hours on it in any subsequent playthrough.

First playthrough (Nightmare) Awakening was a bit above 20 hours. My second playthroug a bit over 15 hours. - I did all - well almost all - sidequests. And enjoyed (almost ;-) ) every minute.
Origins was a bit longer... first playthrough (with all DLC) above 100 hours. The second still over 70 hours.
PC- Version of course.
I can't imagine how you can do it in less than 5 hours.... well perhaps without the sidequests, without crafting and browsing the wares of merchants and reading instead of listening to the Dialogue. Perhaps on an easy difficulty... I mean Nightmare in Awakeing with imported CHarakters is way to easy.. but on another setting the foes might die even faster.

Played on normal and took me 28.5 hours total, but I had a lot of fun exploring, checking everything out, hunting down every possible thing and playing with crafting as well.

I did all of the side-quests except some of the companion-related ones, and it took me 23 hours to beat. Only one or two of those were spent crafting runes, perhaps another hour for time I was away from the computer, I didn't die so no need to add time for reloads, so I'd say it takes about 20 hours total if you really take your time. That's not inlcuding additional playthroughs, of course. And I've yet to read most of the codexes.

i did all of the side quests including the ones for the legend equipment. cant say since no spoilers. on my 3rd playthrough now done it as warrior and rouge now a mage. took me like 20 hours to complete it with almost every quest and legend set picked up. didnt do sigruns since i disagreed with her and killed her
