I was about to start one. Then I didn't.\\
Seeing as the Adept is arguably the most gimped class on Insanity relative to the other classes, and that NG+ Insanity is the hardest level of difficulty the game has to offer, I was wondering if anyone has actually completed an NG+ Insanity run.
Was it rewarding or just too frustrating? Did it start to ease out after Horizon?
Thoughts please

NG+ Insanity Adept? I did NG+ w/Soldier....that was a nightmare! It did ease up after Horizon, just...damn. I can't imagine w/Adept..
It did feel rewarding though once I got the right upgrades, e.g. accuracy w/Revenant

I've done insanity plus as a viper adept several times now. I find some parts of the game much easier than either my infiltrator or soldier (both on insanity plus as well) and some parts a bit harder. I also don't find the adept gimped at all either - I understand the complaints about the changes that were made to this class in ME2 and am sympathetic to some of those complaints - but I don't consider the class any less capable than any other on insanity plus, just different. Infiltrator, Soldier, and Adept (all sniper) are my three favs to play and I'm always on Insanity.

It was one of my easier playthroughs. The adept isn't as gimped as people think but for some reason this keeps coming up. I guess everyone will form their own opinion but for me the adept was almost as fun and easy as the engineer run was for me and with my love for the engineer that is saying something.

Hm. I wasn't saying I thought it was gimped. I love the Adept. But, relative to the other classes, the fights are a bit more challenging. Maybe I'll give it a try

I know what you were saying, didn't mean to come across as angry or anything just trying to say that it comes down to what you like and what works for you. It all comes down to opinion. Like how even though I can do more damage with an infiltrator I still find the engineer and adept more fun and easier because that's how I play. Other people find other classes easier so we have all these arguments over which class is best and the annoyance at seeing all those threads may have made me come across a bit violent.

NG+ Adept isn't as bad as you'd think because you can get away with not shooting as much, if your willing to go a bit slower. Its more of a waiting game, unlike the infiltrator who can basically beast from the get go. You don't have your cooldown or biotic damage bonuses, but since you can use your AR/Sniper in tandem with powers, you can sort of make up the difference.
Try to use sing, pull, and throw primarily, even more than warp explosions. Spec for heavy throw on your last post-collector ship save (the one you'll import) as well so you can get those massive instant kills. Warp explosion will not be one shotting on NG+, but a heavy throw is always a heavy throw.
Also, if you need some help, you could always get energy drain and just put a single point in it instead of shockwave. That can help with both the shielded enemies and your survivability.

I did not play insanity ng+ yet. But I imagine big advantages opposed to my current "normal" insanity run. Having 4 powers already evolved should really help a lot. 20% faster (adept passive skill) singularity plus throw comes to mind, and the heavy warp should help against armor and barriers. Take Miranda and Garrus with you for double overload, double Warp plus Concussionshot.
Also, I am quite content with Barrier as bonus skill. The key is to use it when your shield is shattered, because it instantly refills your shield. This helped me survive quite often when I was caught in crossfire in the open that tan second too long or when I ran away from a position because it was stormed by too many enemies.

I've played NG+ Insanity games with a Vanguard, Infiltrator, and Adept, and interestingly, I had the easiest time with the adept. I personally found Vanguards to have a much more difficult time in the early parts of the game (since the lack of upgrades means enemies are harder to kill with the shotgun, and the lack of health and damage protection makes it harder to survive after a charge), but once you've gotten a good amount of upgrades, every class is very capable at beating NG+ insanity quite easily.

It's not that bad, I've done it twice. So long as you can remove shields and learn how to properly use your Throw and Warp Explosions, you should be fine.

I think adept has it easiest in NG+ in the beginning, once you begin to gear up it normalizes more. But for me the Adpet is more power focused, and I still had all of those even if they were not gear improved yet. Which for me is the opposite of normal insanity, I think adept starts off weak since your powers aren't really there yet, but they get fairly solid once you level up.
