Bad ideas in gaming; starting a series on one platform, porting it to another and then screwing that second platform by not even dignifying them with the sequels.

Hopefully, but all this talk of Fable 3 and Fable 2 Episodes just really killed my hope.
Suppose I'll have to break and get a 360 for FF XIII, ODST, Fable 2 etc.

Wow, you all are probably gonna either freak out on me or LYAO at all this.
Worst gaming ideas......
1) Mario goes from crushing, punching, smashing, an defeating Bowser to cleaning up the world - Hey everyone, lets play a game where we have to clean up someone else's mess an get nothing in return! That sounds AWESOME!
2) Remember Final Fantasy? Remember when it use to be fun & exciting with random encounters, had the classic FF style of gameplay, and epic battles with really challenging enemies? Now lets play a FF game with WoW looking characters, has a cliche story, no random encounters, a "splattered together" turn based real time style of gameplay, and no challenges (FF 11 & Above, FF Chronicles, and Crisis Core).
3) Duke Nukem FOREVER! Or maybe not - the game with a ton of trailers & no progress, nuff said.
4) Anyone play Castlevania? Love the game series (Aria of Sorrow, Symphony of The Night, Dawn of Sorrow, ect ect)? Stay away from the disappointing PS2 3D crap version (Devil May Cry ripoff).
5) Build your base, collect resources, make an epic sized army, and dozens of strategies to conquer your opponent(s). Those were the good old days. Introducing C&C4 - No strategy, serious balancing issues, capped units, no building a base, and collecting resources is dead - oh an you have to level up to get new units an get pwned by players that are at max level, that sounds like fun..... good job EA!
Oh an lets kill the series entirely by releasing "Red Alert 3 Uprising" - cool buildings, units, an awesome gameplay, just can't share that experience with your friends (No Multiplayer).
6) Terminator 2 (didnt play the first one) - you are a cyborg, you come from a future where the human race is struggling for survival against your side, you are made of an alloy that only certain types of ammo from the timeline can hurt you, and you are sent back in time to protect john connor - should be easy.
Sorry it isn't. In fact, it is so hard to survive in the past that even a simple knife from a chopper dude can kill you in 4 hits, an a simple pistol can kill you in 2 hits, and the grand finale, if you get hit by a stray beer bottle - you will die almost instantly. Sound like fun & realistic?
7) Another kind I think was one of the worst ideas was creating games based on mainstream comic books:
Hulk GOT SMASHED! Superman is Not the man of Steel.... Lets play as SPAWN with the cape & armor that can do anything you want it to do! Oh wait Spawn the game only allows a few useless abilities, bummer (And Violator was the most pathetic boss in the game - killed him easily with the 1st weapon lol). And finally, Predator CJ for the PS2 was incredibly disappointing and very annoying throughout the entire game (was hoping that there was gonna be a point in the game where it was actually fun to play, made me feel like I was playing Hulk In Diapers).
8) Any & All "Free to Play" downloadable online games - They are all the same, same amount of people (lagtastic amount of people), they all expect you to create a party, the graphics are always crap, tons of useless abilities for all the character classes (1 - 30), and the "Helpful Hints & Tips" are not helpful.
9) Warhammer (well GW) has made some pretty good games over the years, but their mmo of medieval warhammer was repetitive and was definitely beneath them - Warhammer Online Age of Reckoning - it was like they were trying too hard to make their version of WoW with the same style, classes, features, graphics, and environment. A serious waste of gaming resource was wasted on that piece of crap (screw trying to mimic Blizzard's game, how about making Warhammer 40K online w/ the entire galaxy as the map).
10) And Finally, where all of my hatred is directed, the game that should have ACTUAL equipment, the game that created the most annoying & pathetic fanbase in the history of mankind:
GUITAR CRAPPY HERO is the most dumbest, mentally challenged (unsure if I can type the "R" word), pathetic, game of the century! And wow, look at how similar it looks compared to a real guitar: model of the guitars are pretty nice and it has 5 colorful buttons, whoa that sounds so rad I could barf man!
Gutter Hero (thats on purpose) has released the most pathetic people ever to exist that dare to call themselves a Guitarist with "real" skills - whoever made that stupid game should have kept that in the toilet and sent to hell!!
And no, this not my "Top 10", just a list of random games that I thought was the worst gaming ideas, most likely there will be more, the mentally challenged game industry is still growing and the "Actually Worth Playing A Thousand Times Over" gaming industry seems to be getting old for the modern world

Gyrannon, next time I ask you create a new thread rather than bumping one that's five months old. I let it go with the "proposals or ideas relating to game concepts" thread because there was a meaningful discussion going by the time I noticed how old it was, and I didn't want to disrupt it.
