Are charge bugs going to be fixed in a future patch? Aside from the "cant get a lock" bug when someone is right in front of you, charge bugs out in numerous other ways. Sometimes the ability gets used up without refilling your shields or charging, sometimes the ability has you charge in place, and sometimes the ability causes a double charge. Charging a scion by tapping on the charge key causes complete loss of control of your character quite often. When you get "cant get a lock" while under fire you can somtimes save yourself with a fast medikit, but when you get the charge bug that eats your cooldown without replenishing your shields or charging at all than you are as good as dead if you are under fire. I am hoping charge bugs can be fixed in a future patch.

Agreed, only thing that can kill vanguards on insanity is "cant get a lock!" It's a serious annoyance.

I don't mind "Can't get a lock." Using up my cooldown and leaving me right where I started pisses me off.

Yeah, the charge bugs are annoying, but not nearly as annoying as some of the other ones. Especially deadly is the one where only the camera turns, but not Shepard. Then there's getting stuck in the air for whatever reason... I'd also like to see a fix for squad ammo powers so that they don't override the squad ammo power you give them.

Yeah, charging and not getting my shields boosted has got my Vangaurd killed enough that I switched out Reave for Geth Shield Boost, and I keep that thing up.

When the charge boost does work though, having GSB up turns Shep into an invincible wrecking machine.

I totally agree.  I made a post with some of those bugs listed in the x360 technical support forum with no reply from Bioware as yet.

Agreed, sometimes this bug occurs even when you have the enemy in sight and nothing stands between Shep and the enemy.

Keep in mind that that was my second vanguard playthrough, and I was surprised that it happened. The bugs bother me, but I really don't run into them all that often. At worst I get bugged once or twice a mission so it's not really all that big a deal for me.

It only gets real bad when you do die because of it.

When you get the "cant get a lock", pause the game and have a good look at why. The only times i get that message is when my path to the target is obscured by some sort of cover.

While charge allows you to "go over" half height cover, it does not allow you to go through full height cover.

While that is the case most of the time (which is why I think I rarely run into bugs), occasionally it'll glitch out for no reason at all like in the link to that old vid o mine.

The charge bug can be pretty annoying. It would be nice if they could make it a bit better.

It would be really nice if they could fix the whole "game crashes when I move my hotkey powers" bug.

That's another bug I hardly ever run into. I've only ever ran into it twice, and I noticed that both times the auto-highlight (you know how when you mouse over a power it goes green) got stuck before it happened. So now anytime I go to move a key and notice that the auto-highlight is bugging out I do a quicksave/quickload and then move the keys around.

Charging a scion by repeatedly tapping your charge key will bug you out 1 out of 3 times.

There may be some correlation between it and fraps, but it has happened both on and off, recording and not recording and not even active. It happens to me almost every time I play. Sometimes its so bad I have to reset my computer to even get mass effect 2 running again. I was going to film the collector ship run for my engineer tonight, but it crashed at the start of the second section (I had jacob in my party but he wouldn't even appear when paused, and it was blank where his head would have been)

Back to dragon age.

Whoa, for it to be crashing that often there's definitely something conflicting with the game.

I have had the game crash when assigning abilities. I think it has something to do with changing resolution.

I run into the "charging in place bug" quit frequently on the collector ship during that platform fight.

It seems to occur more often when, if facing the oncoming platforms, I take cover on the left side at the end of the console barrier, for lack of a better word, I'll charge guys on the first platform that lands and go through the cool animation just to end up in the same spot. It's gotten me killed several times, I try to avoid that area like the plague. I also seem to get rooted in place for no reason quite a bit, don't even get me started on how often that happens.

Perfect example for a "Can't get a lock" bug with nothing obstructing your line of sight to the enemy is in Zaeed loyalty mission, just after he sets the whole complex on fire ( cutscene ) and open a "door" as he said, the 2-3 blue suns that are coming toward you are impossible to charge.

It happens everytime for me. In front of you ... nothing in LoS ... " Can't get a lock" ghaaaaa !!! with kinda no cover in the area only possible solution on the hardest difficulty was use of heavy weapon.

Yeah, that example in zaeeds loyalty, along with in mordins loyalty after the krogan opens the way, and the collector platform, seems to be a zoning issue. You can't charge over what used to be the edge of the map. Its more annoying on the platforms because it uses your cd while doing sweet fa, while the others just don't let you charge, you just gotta storm at them mashing charge until you're through the problem area. The platforms, however, do let you charge through the walkways onto the next platform as long as there is no increase in the y axis.

The other bugs seem to crop up randomly with little cause.

The one that constantly bothers me is the last squad of mechs in the tutorial before catching up with Miranda. If they are anywhere near the doorway that they come out of, they always seem to be very hit or miss on being charge-able even thought there's nothing in the way. It probably bugs me the most because its the encounter I've played and watched people play most often due to it being right at the beginning of the game.

On the flip side of this bug, has anyone used Charge on a bull-rushing Krogan and sometimes not have their cooldown trip? I've had it happen a number of times and its always a pleasant surprise. Take no damage, stop their rush and can use it again. Its happened multiple times in the fight against Garm and Uvenk.

Charge into rushing Krogan (who still has some kind of protection)-> staggers both parties -> cooldown not tripped -> hit it again (refreshes shields)

Has anyone else gotten this?
