Is it just me or is it HARD. I was on "Easy" mode and having to use pots to keep the mages blue bar full and I had two rogues with no tank, and I beat it. Nice complex fight. I like it

Did you remember to use the tower abilities?

I didn't find it particularly hard, just irritating in how often I got knocked down/back. I really expected more, but then the Queen of the Blackmarsh was also ridiculously easy on "Normal" mode. After the gamer review websites and articles saying how the demo dragon was a beast, I expected a harder fight.

Oh, but dropping a High Dragon on my head while I fought my way through darkspawn hordes? Good times. Was really "WTF WHERE DID THAT COME FROM" but still, good times.

At least I never had to worry about jamming ballistas. >_>

This is new's to me. There is something we could have used to make the fight easier? I am fresh from just dpsing her like any other boss. I had to quickly refill health more then any other boss

I was kind of shocked how invincible I was.

The High Dragon/Mother, none of it even fazed me.

As you work your way down the spiral stair levels, you pick up these crystals from "flesh pod" chests and from mobs, usually yellow name ones like the armored ogres. At the bottom of each set of stairs, there is a circle of plates on the floor where you mount the crystals, I think it's 4 crystals to a set, and a total of 3 sets. When you complete a set, a sphere of light appears hovering in the air above the formation, allowing you to use old Tevinter weapons against the Mother. How these got there, I have no idea, but there is one for healing.

You have to make sure to wait or roam around and come back to the decomposed bodies for looting some of the crystals, since sometimes it takes forever for it to show up.

this may sound odd, but did you bring your gear from DA: O with you. found out playing through a second time that you can bring all of your items if you go back after you defeat the Archdemon and make a separate save and then import into DA: OA

I have to say that other then the spirit dragon fight, none of the others were even remotely challenging, and even that one was easier then anything in the main game. I play this game for the story and don't like the difficulty interfering but this expansion went beyond easy. Hopefully that is changed in a future patch so that I don't feel like I'm playing with god-mode turned on.

My Human Noble Warrior was absolutely invincible and I loved it, I had just enough challenge to the point where I didn't feel like I was destroying everything but was easy enough to where I could just have fun and didn't have to over think every single little movement. The Queen of the Blackmarsh was pretty fun, would be harder if I ramped up the level, but I never found the ending boss hard, first time I used only 3 potions, second time I lost Nathaniel, but revived him and went on without a second thought. Three best fights were Queen of the Blackmarsh, High Dragon, and the Mother.

My Human Rogue (I set up with medium armour and amazing duel wield/duelist 2 swords) was invincible. But I put ALL the +healing gear I could find and Anders kept her alive so easily.

I did near the same with putting as much tanking gear together as I could, but I speced Velanna into a support caster which worked out really well. Plus Sigrun with her Legionare Scout was AMAZING, I didn't know a rogue could destroy that easily. She had full Heavy Armor on with little to no issue with Stamina after I put her skills into Clarity. My favorite team was Sigrun, Velanna, and Nathaniel. Sadly though Sigrun really had an issue with my wanting to side with Architect and the others really had an issue with me not wanting to. Next time I should change up my group to just kill him, maybe Anders, Justice, and Sigrun.

I had an arcane warrior/blood mage/battlemage duel wielder.

I played through on nightmare. I could have soloed, I could tank and slay anything and everything though my companions enjoyed dying :/

She killed Nathaniel within seconds of starting the fight. She grabbed him n that was all she wrote lol. I so wanted to yell at him, hey dumbas* your a ranged character, you shouldn't be standing right on top of her sheesh. Leave that to Justice and me lol.

2H Warrior (Templar/Reaver/Spirit Warrior). Ridiculously overpowered. Reminded me of Throne of Bhaal, except Zethar didn't have the excuse of being Half-God. ;)

The hardest boss fight was the electro dragon and only because it wailed on Valenna, she spent most of that fight dead. By the end of the game I was a god. The last 2 major fights were very easy, I had a lot of health. I like that pion skill...I was a warrior Templar/Champion/Guardian. I had that sword the dandy armourer makes you, I failed to find the potions and runes for the rest. It buffed my defence and I had sentinel armour because it looked neat with some runes that I can't recall. My shield was one I found when I got Sigrun, you have to repair it, yeah I'm great with names.

2H warrior indeed can turn almost every battle into a bloody rampage single-handedly. In the final fight I dealt with the tentacles first, then I place my PC inside the mother, where she can't grab me or sweep me around, while my companions busy dealing with the children.

What? I cheated? I say that's what you got for being fat!

I basically did that except for the part about being inside her. She grabbed me twice but my defensive capabilities were amazing and I had like 800 health so by the end of her grab I lost not even a 16th of my health. I just sat there and wailed on her while using my taunts to have the children focus on me while they killed them and I killed her.

Steamrolled this on nightmare. High Dragon was the only hiccup, because I was not ready for it.

And 2H warrior is a beast now, it makes up for that big pile of suck that they were in the original DAO. Don't really need a mage for AoE, but playing with Keeper is fun.

-Kill tentacles

-Kill children spawns (she only does a couple of waves)

-Kill Mother
