I do not want to see the plot lines of Revelation or Ascension revisited in a time line appropriate manner.

I do not want to see a 40 dollar expansion with 10 hours of rushed content that is not only rushed to the shelf itself but rushes the player through it at break neck speeds heading towards a finale that you didn't even see coming that just seems to suddenly be thrust onto the player just as you've addressed the beginnings of the major plotline elements.

Seriously Awakenings went from "Go check out these leads in regards to the new Darkspawn threat" to...after having checked out the leads, you are now at the end of the game whether you like it or not.

The only thing I'd like to see considered in regards to what was done with Awakenings, in regards to ME2 DLC's or expansions would be the addition of more advanced power sets, new weapons and locations to explore and potentially a few new class types.

Other than that, you can take everything about "Awakenings" and keep it as far away from Mass Effect as possible please.

Seriously.

For ME2 I'd rather see single content like Kasumi or the Hammerhead rather than expansions.

Well I wouldn't actually be adverse to expansions either, I just would be horribly adverse to expansions of the level of quality of Awakenings.

Awakenings basically works like....well take the original DA:O, and say you visit the elves, the dwarves and Redcliffe , then suddenly you have to fight the Archdemon at Denerim with no other option, no chance to fill in side questing, nothing. Thats what Awakenings did...basically. It annoyed me heavily.

Also given that Metacritic is reporting a generalized average of 85 for Awakenings not more than two days after its world wide release....as more reviews come in I assume its going to go down, I think it will settle in the 76 - 78% territory once all the reviews are in.

As compared to the stunning reviews its parent title got, 85% with only 6 reviews tabulated so far to me, is almost too generous to the quality of the Awakening's expansion.

I'd rather they focus on ME3

I second that, focus on ME 3 please.

Edit: Haha, I just noticed a bit of irony in my name: I titled my name after Dragon age: Origin's Awakening in anticipation of something great. However, to my dismay the name the awakening had already been taken, so I named my self the last awakening, unfortunately now, I am also asking for there to be a last to any expansion that shortly resembles DA: O awakening. I just found this funny, so I decided to share. Not, that this edit had any purpose, but if it did allow for a brief laughter, your welcome.

I've read some reviews that gave awakening on average a 7 give or take. And for the price it should have been amazing . I must say though i've never been all that impressed with bioware dlc. Looks like I will wait for awakening to come down in price before I even think about purchasing it.

I agree with focusing on ME3 as well, but, 2 years is a long time to wait. And 2 years is an optimistic estimate even of they "focus" on ME3, as far as turning out an acceptable trilogy end game goes.

Though I often joke with my friends that the real plot twist about Mass Effect 3 is that it will release November 24th, 2012, giving everyone just enough time to play it, then on December 12th, 2012, the Reapers really do show up and the world ends.

I also took issue with the structure, but I still very much liked it anyway. Maybe this was because I played it with my HN character who fits the story/setting better, but I'm looking forward to importing my other characters too once I reinstall it.

I hate to say it but I agree with the threadstarter. I enjoyed the plot of Awakenings but the game made me feel like a guest that overstayed his welcome and they're rushing me out the door. I wouldn't have minded it so much if it didn't cost 40 bucks. I enjoyed playing through it but I put it back on shelf because I feel kinda ripped off. It also made my IhatethefactEAboughtBiowareitis flare up again which I thought my steady regimen of ME2 cured.

Please just concentrate on the sequels, and keep the goodwill you've built over the years.

Can't argue much here while i enjoyed some parts of the game you could tell it was incomplete in developement way too many bugs for comfortable gameplay. Base plot had promise but limited abilities hindered it or your actions didnt reflect on anything except what the epilogue says (If you've played though you probally know what im talking about).
