More than likely another DA:O expansion. One year isn't a very sufficient amount of time to produce a sequel that would be noticeably improved from the first.

I'm really hoping its not a sequel for that exact reason.

dnt u see the title DRAGON AGE on it it takes place after dragon age  origins also it only takes about 2 yrs or less to make a sequal because 1st game already made the base ground for the 2nd game

Nice to know you Leliana was your love too..Posted Image She was very popular with many players i noticed.
Would it be at all possible for a *Leliana's Adventures* DLC sometime in the future?
Oh, the shoes...the shoes  we could wear. Posted Image

Why are people assuming that DA2 will let you import your character from Origins? Bioware hasn't said this; in fact, Bioware has said that future DA games will most likely take place in other countries. Personally, I want to see more of what the Dragon Age universe has to offer. I don't want to stick with one group of characters throughout the whole series.

I'd love to see other parts of Thedas, namely Antiva and Orlais - there's lots of potential for intrigue. However, I would like to stick with my character. I mean, technically, I still have 30 years left to live. That is, if future games are set in my lifetime... or if they don't write it so our character HAS to die (which would be all kinds of mean). Then, of course, we'd have no choice but to go on as someone else. But anyway...

I'm up for meeting new people, but I do want to know what happens to old friends and I'd like the option of initiating conversation, not clicking on items within the environment in the hope I've brought the correct party member to get a response.

My guess is it's the next big expansion like Awakening, only longer. Possibly a "full-fledged game's worth" of content. Awakening was probably just brought out to sate our appetite in the coming months. Hell, they're probably introducing a new setting in Thedas. We've seen Fereldan and Amaranthine, but there's a whole continent to explore! Rivain, the Anderfels, the Free Marches, who knows.

I'm guessing that since Awakening was the final chapter of the Origins Warden, and possibly the Orlesian Warden-Commander, that we're starting from scratch again.

starting from scratch? all they need to do iz add new land new Chars for ur team dialoug thts it and also depends if old chars will return will take less time if they do add old chars and if they keep same graphics

You really need to learn how to address multiple people with your posts so you can stop double-triple-quadruple posting...

Anyways. Notice how I said possibly the final chapter for the Orlesian Warden-Commander? I know what the epilogue said, but they kept it incredibly vague. Hence the 'possibly'.

When I said starting from scratch, I meant story-wise. New characters, new lands, everything. I wasn't talking about the development team, I was talking about us, the players, starting from scratch. Notice the we're in there? Unless I just received a job on BioWare's dev team...

And I'm in support of it not being a sequel. Sequels should be better than the first. Look better, play better, have a better story and characters. I don't know about anyone else, but I'd feel extremely cheated if they just stuck with the game's same engine, enviroments, armors and weapons, just stuck DRAGON AGE 2 on the front and sent it out. I want the second game to be better looking than the first. And for anyone that plays on the consoles you get what I mean. Compared to the PC, the console graphics are insulting. I want them to take their time on the second installment. If that means buying DLC and Expansions along the way, then so be it. ^^ I'm a glutton for punishment.

hope not. they rushed awakenings and it sucked. Dragon Age 2 better be good, we don't get strat rpgs like these no more.
And pump up the difficulty/balance, yeesh.

Awakening sucked? Maybe you should find another franchise because it has been well recieved by the public. Its been in development since April of 09 (when DAO was originally going to come out), so I wouldn't consider that rushed. I suspect you're just trolling anyways, so I guess I fell for it.

Supposedly the second part of the three
part trilogy from what I understand. Of course, it could be delayed but
who knows.

I really doubt 02/01/2011 is a sequel. That would be pretty fast. My personal guess is another expansion. The DAO franchise is hot right now and why not stretch it out some? And this is EA we're talking about. The same company that gave us countless Sims expansions. I would love to see another 60+ hour game in the series, but realistically, that shouldn't come until late 2012, but of course this is ALL speculation. As far as I know, its a sequel and they're just pushing it out really fast.

I really wish we could see a lot more DLC. I'm willing to shell out five to twenty dollars on a few hours of content, I love this series that much. I never thought I'd say this, but EA please milk this like you do everything else.

I would much rather see more DLC which correlated to Origins and not Awakening. I would much rather expand upon that storyline using the companions from Origins. Although it sounds as if Awakening is an entertaining enough game it seems to lack the depth and personal relationships that made Origins so outstanding. I would absolutely pay for content that would expand upon the Origins game, would pass on Awakening 'required' content however.

A shopping trip to Val Royeaux!!  Buy some shoes, get our hair done and maybe a new dress or two!  Oh, and settle some old scores for Lel while we're at it!   Posted Image  Yeah!  I'd go for that!  Posted Image

Yes, and the dresses must be low cut in front...we will want to show off our good bits Posted Image I forgot exactly what Leliana said to Morrigan about that but that is near enough.

Well DA2 is over a year away...what can we expect in DLC after Awakenings?
Something better i hope.

Well if it is called DA2, i doubt that it will have anything to do with a blight, it might even be a game where you don't play as a Warden.

It's unlikely that there will be 2 or 3 blights in one age.
