Tell me about it.

Half of that thread is just fawning over screenshots anyway.  The Morrigan thread promotes quality over quantity!

More like ranting and walls of text.

The original purpose of this thread was to complain about a bugged epilogue.

It eventually ended up being a research thread with a bunch of people helping out(and inspiring) Terra_ex to work on the mod.

So yeah, we''ll take quality over quantity, if you don't mind all the ranting and moaning. :D

Heh, we've lost a bit of steam lately as Barbarossa has been sadly absent for a while.

On the mod front, I am thinking (once I finish off this Greagoir cutscene) of adding a small intro cutscene to the "You return from the Wilds speech" that shows the Warden walking towards Morrigan when they arrive back at camp. That'd bring it in line with similar events for other characters and is preferable to jumping immediately into dialog. I've decided to have Morri shift into a wolf/dog for the Greagoir scene btw as I can't find any appropriate models with flight animations included (and I don't fancy creating them myself.)

I also might make some variants to the Dark Ritual scenes - like when you decline the ritual, she stops in the doorway and turns her head. If she is in love with the warden we could adjust her expression and actions a bit before she shifts into wolf form to make her exit a bit more personal for those who romanced her. I did a few experiments last night and it looked pretty nice imo.

Where is he? Maybe he vanished entirely and his tale in not yet complete?

I hope he's preparing a comeback for E3.

Hehe, I think most of us are just sitting waiting on E3 to approach so we know exactly what to talk about. I can't wait to see this stuff you're working on, it sounds awesome. I'm having to do a new playthrough since my computer had to be wiped and I have zero saves for DA2 (hopefully!), so I'll make sure to stagger my saves if you need any help.

I wish Gaider would spill the beans on how the DR was supposed to go for a romancing male warden and Morrigan, I'd take it with no voice acting right now over the chilly business offer we get right now.

And can I just say, looking around this forum it seems to really be picking up steam that people want more Warden and Morrigan in the next game! I was worried that this 'I just want a RPG with Dragon Age in the title; No continuation at aaaaall!' was going to pick up steam but nope! You did too good of a job writers!

Gaider did say something about player entering his room and finding Morrigan sitting on the bed looking thoughful. If I understood him correctly she was supposed to have a hard time finding the right words to say and the whole scene would be a lot more emotional, with Morrigan visibly struggling over her feelins for the Warden.

See, this is the stuff we need (well, maybe not need, but want for sure!) to know, along with any dialogue changes he may have had in mind. And blackmail on Terra to make sure it gets put together immediately :P

It's just a shame because so many people base what they know on her by the first ten minutes of talking to her and the DR, and neither of them is the actual personality you encounter as you dig through Flemeth's crap.

They did a fantastic job not just with the story but also the characters.
Just look at all these character discussion threads around and notice how big they are. Half a year after DA:O came out people still talk about it and the companions.

Which only explains why some of us want to see this story continue. DA:O was an epic tale, but it felt more like a beginning of a larger journey then an end. There is a huge potential for new adventures with the Warden and plot threads left unexplored, so it should come as no surprise that people want to continue using their characters.

If nothing else, Bioware should be happy to see their product is so well received from the fans.

I think the greatest testimony towards it is the fact it's having the Star Wars Effect right now. You know how it is, where people wanted to know everything about Wedge or Dak (Luke's Hoth gunner) or the green and black aliens in the bar? You see that with the Cullen and Teagan and Gorims and everything.

True, but that is where our current problem lies.

People want to see more of the world they entered in Origins and they want to explore all these places, lore and characters they've only heard or read about.

But nothing says this journey needs to be undertaken by the Warden. They could just as easily do it with a new character and new companions.

Right now we're standing at a crossroads and have 2 paths before us. One letting us continue the journey started in Origins and the other has us beginning a new tale unrelated to what went before.

Both have their appeal and it's only a matter of what Bioware finds more interesting. We can only hope that what we want to see is the same as what they want to do...

I would pay to see this in a DLC even without the voice acting.

Hi guys, been away for awhile, but had to travel to feed the beast that finances my video game addiction.  No internet connection so haven't been keeping up with things too well.

Congrats to all on passing a hundred pages. I see that (predictably) we have zero movement on the glitch front, but mods, as has become the reliable hallmark of this thread, have been moving steadily forward.

Any news?  I know E3 is coming up fast; we have no announcement yet on Feb 2011; and a few players are coming to their senses Image IPBand joining the ranks of the negative naysayers. Image IPB

And to Blademaster, you're NOT the only negative person around here. That's practically my middle name!!!!Image IPB

@Terra_Ex,

BTW, on my last run through ME2, I followed a certain dialogue path with Liara at our third meeting (after the second mission she wants you to do) and found out some interesting things that shed light on her distance with Shepard and her obvious distractedness that you and I talked about awhile back.

In this playthrough, I took my time and completed her second requested mission successfully (I actually read all the messages-too much in a hurry the first time: I made a snap decision based on the first message) and ensured we came up with the right answer regarding the hit she wanted put out. I think this is what unlocked the dialogue option when I went to see her again; I'm not really sure this is the case, I just didn't get the option (or didn't take it) the first time.

Anyway, what she said was amazing and it really took me by surprise since it involved her, Shepard and the Shadowbroker. It put everything into perspective. Are you aware of this dialogue in the story?...because I wasn't until I tripped over it on the second playthrough. Also don't want to give it away (unless you want me to) because I've talked with a few people who were not aware of it.

Just thought I'd closethe loop on that old subject of Liara's obvious distance with Shepard at their reunion.

Agree; and a point I've made since November.  If you are a romancing Warden, you are thrown virtually no bone to distinguish you from a friendly, or even hostile, Warden.  I don't even want to get into the plaster mold my Warden was poured into to make the scene work; but IMO they screwed the pooch at the most critical point in the game for a romancing Warden. I only say that because there is nothing in the toolset (so I'm told) that says the scene included any romantic elements or relevant edited scenes. It simpy was what is was. Had the spirit of the "DA: The Revelation" comic been salted into the Ritual, it would have made all the difference in the world.

What was intended to merely build (I think) edge of your seat demand, ended up turning many sour.  I won't speculate whether it was a writing error, editing oversight or just poor scene vision and execution, but the DR imo played out horribly for a romancing Warden.  Of course this is assuming Morrigan's intentions are good.  I really don't doubt that Morrigan loves the Warden, but her intentions are unknown.  If her intentions are for ill, then we may have to accept the fact that the DR may have played out the way it did for reasons many of us in this thread really would rather not think about.  I prefer to believe it a vision and scene execution error for now.

Please enlighten me then Barbarossa, I can't remember anything in particular standing out... though I might have done a similar thing to you with those messages, I can't recall. Go ahead and spoil it for me.
