On a somewhat related note, I guess the existence of this Friendly* flag could point to BW's intent to continue the romance in the future, here's hoping.
haven't checked for a while, been pretty busy here.
The issue is, or better my fear is, that they indeed have future plans with her, but because that romance flag is messed up, she will treat me like we have just been friends before when i meet her again. And that would definetively kill it for me.
On a different note: glad to have some fans of other romances checking in. All romances are bugged to some degree and doesn't seem to get any atention for bugfixing, so it's a good thing we pool ressources and grief and complain together supprting each other that, one day, a miracle happens and some tecs at BW will put the coffee mug away for half an hour and fix the most severe bugs. As far as i read from some modders around, it shouldn't take them longer than this to fix some heavy bugs, which makes it even more annoying that nothing has happened more than 5 months after release.

If they plan on letting us continue with the same character then they will probably fix it.MoSa09 wrote...

No. Scrap that. They better let us play with our old characters AND they better fix the bug... fast.
Imagine playing DA2 with a new character and bumping into Morrigan. Yep. Your old PC is out there looking for her for God knows how many years and a total stranger just happens to find her out of nowhere.
On a more positive note, there is still that 2.1.2011 date. Victor Wachter admitted that there will be more DLC for DAO in the future and Fernando Melo stated in an interview that we haven't seen the last of Morrigan(though he said nothing about a confrontation with our old PCs).
And then there is the rumor about Leliana returning in DLC. If it's true then that means Bioware hasn't given up the romance just yet.
Here's to hoping...

So, here is the deal: I spoke with her after the Ritual and she gave me the typical break up line and switched over to friendly. In the epilogue slides I got the mention of the ring with sorrow and regret, So then in the post-epilogue save back at camp, I gave her the mirror. Its not enough to just give her the mirror to get her back to "love" status, you have to say the "its just a gift for a beautiful woman" line when giving her the mirror. Do that and she should get switched back to love!
Of course, I'll have to plow through Awakening to see if this workaround gives you the right Awakening epilogue, but if its just dependent on the "love" status, then it should work...

It works if you do it with the console, the mirror should be no different.
Just out of curiosity, what did you decide to do? Did you say to Anora/Alistair you'll go after her?

Gah! I'll have to suck it up and check into the toolset more intensely. Maybe I can bug (pun definitely intended) Ejo to tell me what to look for. But most likely it would do no good, C++ is a nightmare for me.

Whaha! Ok so after much toil and tribulation I finally finished up going through Origins again with the intent of not giving Morrigan the mirror until the post-epilogue save while still talking to her at the gates.

Hmmmmm I'm sort of half hoping it won't work, and then again I hope it does, I gave her the mirror really early in Origins...

The mirror just triggers the romance. If you haven't given her the grimoire then it will just change here approval to interested/care/adore.
What Brocololly is trying to do is give her the mirror after the final battle. It will re-trigger the romance and put the flag where it was supposed to be(100 love).

I love playing Morrigan as a friend, all my wardens end up with 100+, despite the "Morrigan disapproves". The friendship track with her and a femWarden is very nice, and she is a very interesting character.
You have no idea how hard it is for me to resist opening the toolset and going through her LI dialogues. I'm terrible that way, I want to know her reaction to ALL the conversation lines. The way I've been doing it, is the heavy abuse of the F5 and F9 key.

Oh, you weren't wrong. Flemeth's real grimoire is what switches her to love.

Oh I see, I always thought that anything after the epilogue save won't transfer.........I am very paranoid o.O

Some people reported that she doesn't dissaprove most of your actions if you're romancing her. Sending her into the fade to save Connor and saying that you want to save the mages are two instances.
I'm not really sure if it's actually true but I'm intrigued to find out.

My PCs don't mind the approval drop as such, but she does have a point worth considering. However, my PCs don't want to kill Wynne right there because they don't think that Petra and Kinnon deserve to die with Wynne. I just play it as my PC, being her friend and all, don't want to subject her to the tower, which she clearly hates. Unfortunately, that means I only got to see her nightmare on YouTube, bleh.
Her remark at Lake Calenhad is priceless, as is the banter with Alistair regarding the tower after its liberation.

Yeah, I told Alistair that I would search for Morrigan at the end.

Heh.. you're not the only one that over abuses the F5 and F9 buttons. I do it with all the NPCs.

Her level of disapproval depends on her current approval rating it seems as well as on your persuasion skill.
If your persuasion is high enough and she is friendly to you (you don't have to romance her), you can persuade her to help the mages in the tower without any loss of approval at all.
Nearly the same is true for destrying the anvil: if your skill and approval is high enough, you can persuade her destroying it is a good thing and she just disapproves -3.
But as far as i know, those two are the only occassions where you can prevent her approval loss, there is no such think in Redcliffe or other circumstances where your decisions affect her approval rating.

Nearly all the characters can be persuaded to your liking

At least it's better than having to run around with your TAB key pressed. "Oh look a tree. Let's talk Velanna". :innocent:

Don't ever shower Leliana with gifts, her quest is bugged or something.
The lack of dialogue in Awakening was very annoying, I didn't even get Velanna's quest, but I think that was a bug aswell and of course EA directed me to the forums once more to let me moan for a fix....
