THE Morrigan Discussion and Research Thread *Infested with Bugs Yet Again!*

I'm confused on what to think truly. My feelings are mixed not enough information to really decide what I think, but I'm going to trust to Bioware to deliver a great story like they usually do though it being released so shortly has me worried, and the left field "Hawke" thing really bewilders me.
I have been thinking on what the female mage is in the concept art. I think it is either Flemeth or the Old God maybe both in one body, but they say you will be "surprised" on who it is and those seem the two most logical choices next to Morrigan, so who would be the shocker OMGWTF that is her. I really can't think of any character outside of those three who could logically fit that role anyone have any ideas? How long is this going to take place from Origins 30, 40 or 50 years? Then last 10 more years. We have been in Dragon Age for what 30ish years? This could be the end of "Dragon Age", and be setting up for a new age, and a brand new title for their future games. The big upheaval and change in Dragon Age is the conclusion of DA:2 dawning in a new age?
I would say I'm more excited than dissapointed, but I certainly hope each clique of people get some closure or some tidbits on what happened to their Warden, LI and companions. from Origins. The epilogues are way to vague and have so much foreshadowing it would be a crime for that to be it.
Though I bet we will know a lot more by August 17th when we get our first video trailor, and can probably begin to make our very first actual impressions on the game so until then I'm gonna just sit back and soak in the information.

But yes I did get the impression that this weird white haired girls is our OGB. Not sure what to make of it.

As for the 8/17/10 trailer, its likely to be a CGI blur type thing. Which is fine, but given all the possible changes they're making I want to see gameplay. I guess thats where the GI article will come in to play.
Sooo much uncertainty....

What I wish to cry about is that our romance will have no closure....
I thought Morrigan was mostly bluffing about never seeing us again

Same here, but my pessimism is increasing. I do hope to see the OGB at one point or another. There's just too much there to go unused, regardless of the interaction the OGB has with the Warden.

In times like these there is only one man who can make sense of such a situation.

If there is a red headed minstrel and a dark haired mage . . . *sigh*

More tragicness from Bioware, and I will make one of my deal breakers when finding a wife: "not tragic enough".

And that's pretty much the reason I am considering giving up on DA.Brockololly wrote...

I don't want to get sucked into a game and get attached, and right when I start loving the characters I get a kick in the balls. And the worst part is: the person who wrote the characters is somewhere laughing his ass off at my expense.
Sorry but this is not the type of story I like. Not my genre I guess.

Why are we angry at Bioware exactly (today at least)? They never promised or even said that there would be continuation with the Warden. No point getting angry yet, however it seems that once again EA is making a game apply to the LCBF. <- Lowest Common BRO factor, at least the taglines do.
No, BioWare never promised anything. But the endings to Origins and Awakening bait the player into thinking the Warden's tale isn't over. Sure we've got DLC left, but thats like scraps even at its best.
As far as getting angry- thats fair enough, as they've not released anything concrete gameplay or story wise of any real substance yet. But the writing seems to be on the wall that DA2 has been "consoleized" like ME2 to amp up the action and LCBF as you put it:lol:
Until we get some solid proof that they're not turning DA into a stylized anime version of 300 with ME gameplay in Thedas, we have every reason to be concerned and worried.

Listen to this, for some reason it always makes me feel better.
For now I will wait for more news before getting grumpy.

Concern and fears? That's perfectly legitimate with the vaguery we have right now.

Disappointment... which is worse than being angry, I guess.. :/
