The Witcher, huh? The lighting is superb. I might have to play as you say.
BTW, on the ME2 front; in Overloard, I thing they've heard you talking Brock. There are actually 2 sections where the onboard computer of the Hammerhead tells you that a pleasant view is approaching and that if you're humanoid you may want to stop and take it in. A couple of long view sweeping vista put in there just for you.
I thought it was a neat little interjection anyway.
The screens I posted were from the Witcher 2- the original Witcher doesn't look quite that good. But its telling that The Witcher 1 used BioWare's Aurora engine and in some of the new videos they have for The Witcher 2 the devs seem quite happy at having made their own engine and ditched the modified Aurora one they were using.
And I saw that part from Overlord on youtube- its a nice touch.

Re. gaming marketing strategy: Mr. Addai
and I had a discussion wherein he said that he plans to wait to get DA2
on discount, but in the meantime is going to play Bioware's dumb
spaceship MMO in addition to this or that game. So Bioware doesn't
really lose out if gamers are going to start paying a monthly premium
for the privilege of playing their games and then get DA2 anyway. Maybe
they are hoping to funnel the MMOers into Dragon Age.
Yeah, I'm worried about TOR's influence on BioWare. The fact is that give it a couple of games and if DA is still kicking, its just primed to be turned into an MMO- especially since they're making DA all about Epic Stories in Thedas. It just sucks what they're doing with TOR- I loved both KOTOR games and then they ditch the single player to milk the MMO angle- not interested at all.
But I'll definitely perform my due diligence before getting DA2- I threw caution to the wind in pre-ordering Awakening and I regret it. Given all the changes they're making, I might just hold off and wait until DA2 goes dirt cheap on a Steam sale or something...
